This is quite loterally the best place i have ever stayed, Paul the owner who is always smiling really welcomed us , I felt right at home . He even waited up late for us, to make sure we could get in, as we had a late arrival . He was such a gracious host, really lovley people. The Home, room and bathroom was impecably clean and very reasonably priced , beautifully decorated , with the heritage of the house on full display, comfortable , luxurious and cozy. He made a spectacular 3 course breakfast and coffee , with all fresh artisan local ingredients , like fresh fruit , fresh baked scones , bacon , local maple products . AMAZING !!! I would highly recommend it , so much more of a bucket list experience than a big chain hotel.

We loved our stay at the wonderful Maple Inn. The history of this magnificent Victorian mansion is shared in so many lovely ways. Felt like going back in time (but with all of today’s modern conveniences tucked in) The welcome of owners and staff was warm and attentive. Our room was spotless, had very comfortable beds and pillows, fresh air with windows that open when wanted as well as a little fireplace to take away chill on a cool evening. There are comfortable sitting areas both inside and out that are just so lovely. And finally - the outstanding breakfast that comes with your nights stay - homemade, locally sourced and delicious!! I can’t recommend the Maple Inn enough if you want to feel pampered in a place that is both grand and cozy and makes you feel oh so welcome!

What a wonderful stay! The hosts were amazing from arrival to departure. The joy and pride the Aikens take in their inn was obvious. The inn is beautifully and tastefully decorated with lots of interesting photos and historical facts about this inn, which was once a hospital. Family photos as well as Paul's accomplished and continuing musical career also grace the walls. My room, named The Delivery Room, was a nice size and the bed was so comfy! The room had two large windows with a lovely garden view. The bathroom amenities were exceptional. The breakfast was generous and delicious! The inn provided extra details that really added to the stay such as a help yourself kitchen area where coffee, various teas, water, and ice were available. There was also a popcorn machine with popcorn ready for the taking and a number of board games and available reading material. The deck was large and lovely with comfy furniture and a fire pit. The family has solar heating in place and other measures in making their inn as environmentally friendly as possible. Thank you Paul, McKenzie, and family! You have a gem of a place!

This is an awesome place to stay! We only had one night here as we were touring around Nova Scotia but would have stayed more given the chance. The new owners took over in 2020 and have gone to town to offer a unique experience. The three-course breakfast is yummy and stylish, as usual, there is tea and coffee 24/7 in the lobby along with popcorn which was different.
The rooms are all spotless and welcoming, with soft squidgy carpets, comfy beds, and cookies before bedtime...just can't fault it, and Paul and his team just add a touch of style you don't expect to see in a small town B&B.
Location wise the Fundy Geological museum is only a 5-minute walk away, while crossing the bridge check the aviation history. Partridge Island is a short drive away and is a good spot for a picnic, a small walk, and a bit of fossil hunting.
I would highly recommend you give The Maple Inn a try, it's a real gem of a find.

I was travelling with family including a senior with mobility challenges. The hosts were incredibly helpful answering questions I had about rooms for my Mom who has mobility issues. We have stayed here before and find the rooms clean, comfortable and full of historical charm. The breakfast was included and was delicious. The hosts have worked towards making the inn very "green" through the use of solar power...very progressive. I highly recommend the Maple Inn for all of these reasons.

My wife and I have been traveling Maine and New Brunswick Coasts and stopped at the Maple Inn for the evening. Paul and McKenzie the end keepers were so welcoming. We we were fortunate enough to get the tower suite, we were able to open all the windows and have the beautiful, wonderful seabreeze flow through our suite all night, we slept like babies, it was perfect! The views from the tower suite through the picture windows was absolutely amazing. Everything was super clean and so tastefully decorated, the Wi-Fi was great. on our travel one of the things we treasure is a quality comfortable, large walk-in shower, which the Maple Inn has and it was wonderful. The homemade breakfast my Paul was truly delicious and so filling, we did not eat lunch the day we left. we highly recommend the Maple Inn..

Our host Paul is the best ever! Excellent communication before and throughout our stay, friendly, helpful. Rooms are lovely & breakfast is delicious and perfect amount. Small but important touches: lights on both sides of the bed, plenty of hooks in bathroom to hang towels & clothes (plus good sized closet in bedroom), electronic charging station cube on bedside table, two sitting chairs in our room (the Delivery Room). Very pretty and interesting town also.

Just come up with an excuse to go here!! It's a beautiful, peaceful restful B&B to spend a couple of days. The home is beautifully renovated, decorated and maintained .The hosts are lovely and welcoming and have equipped every room with everything you need to feel pampered and comfortable. We enjoyed our evening in the cozy sunroom by the fireplace playing board games and meeting some of the other guests. Breakfast...yummm ... delicious blueberry scones, fresh fruit salad and eggs benny with the most delicious coffee...it doesn't get better. We were served by the son of our hosts who was so gracious and professional and interesting to chat with. Thanks Paul and MacKenzie for providing this lovely experience for my sister and I

Upon arrival, seeing The Maple Inn from the outside you fee like you are in a movie set, it’s so adorable and incredibly maintained. Added bonus; seeing their solar panels, vegetable garden and fruit trees outside too.
When you get inside and meet Paul and his son Wilson, you instantly feel at home. The Maple Inn is so welcoming, cozy, and clean.
The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies next to your bed are the sweetest touch ever (and they are THE BEST!) “Bedtime snack/lunch” is such a Nova Scotia thing and I absolutely welcome delicious cookies as mine. A 3 course breakfast is included with your stay and let me just say, “Oh my God!”, it’s THAT good. The food is so fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. I’ll take a Maple Inn recipe book, if one is ever created!
The history behind the Inn is documented in a book in each room and is so fascinating to read about. The Aitken’s family story is incredible as well. What amazing people who have been through so much and continue to serve people with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. Parsborro is lucky to have them!
Thank you Aitken family for welcoming us into your Inn and home. You made us feel so welcome. We will be back and make sure all our family and friends visit your beautiful Inn, too.

We recently stayed at the Maple Inn with the Aitken’s and their staff on a quick trip to Parrsboro. The Victorian styled accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We booked the Dyas Suite which included a sitting room. The en-suite bathroom included a small shower and jetted tub. John’s breakfast was delicious and wonderfully accommodated for my gluten free husband.
