While exploring the Glooscap Trail we booked at the last minute into this B&B. Host Jamie was very accommodating. What a surprise as we walked in the door. The interior decor was a charming trip back in time. Lovely antiques fill the B&B. The other guests were charming as well. Breakfast was delicious and ample. Although I am gluten intolerant, I heard rave reviews about the blueberry biscuit rolls at the table. I was able to sample some excellent homemade blueberry jam however, as gluten free bread was made available for me. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We stayed here for two nights, and we almost tried to arrange to stay for a third night just to see what we'd get for breakfast the next morning! The two that we had were absolutely delicious - the blueberry cinnamon biscuits were out of this world and SO much better than the typical toast we get at most B and B's. We were graciously given the recipe and I can't wait to make them for special weekends. And when our hostess found out that we don't eat yogurt, she actually changed her plans for a planned parfait and gave us the most wonderful bowl of fresh fruit. One morning she made baked eggs with broccoli and bacon and cheese and another we had an egg hash with potatoes, onions, and peppers. We absolutely plan to return as the house is beautiful and the service was wonderful. We had the Evangeline room in the turret which has an ensuite bath and while the room has gorgeous antiques, the bathroom is very modern with a beautiful shower/tub. We could walk all over town easily and leave our car in their yard and so were able to check out some nice little antique shops and gift shops and a great brew pub.

We have been travelling around the province and this was our favourite place so far. Jamie (the host) made sure that we had everything we needed, went out of his way to ensure we were well looked after, made reservations for us at a local restaurant within walking distance for dinner and in the morning provided us with the most delicious breakfast with warm out of the oven blueberry cinnamon buns, a fresh fruit parfait with cream and a delicious egg skillet, and top notch coffee. We are already planning our next visit to the Inn and are looking to chatting with Jamie again :)

My husband and I recently drove to Parrsboro with the idea of visiting Cape d'Or for the first time. Booked this B&B on-line and were pleasantly surprised by how clean, bright and interesting it turned out to be, even during Covid-19 restrictions. Our host, Patsy, met us with a bright smile. Our room was reasonably priced and very clean. For anyone who enjoys the Victorian era, this home is a museum piece of beautiful antiques and history. My husband is still talking about the excellent breakfast....Patsy's Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls were fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the fresh berries with cream too! Everything is close by and we even had time for an hour's stroll around town before dark.

Room Tip: The Gabriel Room had a Queen and a Twin in a small alcove, along with the ensuite. We liked that.

It's a place of calm and stillness. We are so used to TVs in rooms and was initially surprised to not have one, but really appreciated the quiet this offered. It felt a bit like stepping back in time -- the heritage home is clean and well-kept, and decorated throughout with dated pieces and antiques. A very enjoyable stay and breakfast was nourishing. Jamie is a wonderful host and has a genuine, caring and accommodating personality.

This is a great B&B ! We stayed in the Gabriel's Suite which had a separate twin bed in the adjoining room so that our son could be slightly separate from us. There is a small TV but I much prefer sitting on the veranda or looking at all the collectible items in the lounge room. Blueberry cinnamon buns for breakfast were to die for!

We stayed at Evangeline's Tower for one night in the early season. Carol was a delightful and very informative hostess, giving us maps and directions for the whole area. Our room was the "tower", a second-floor area in the turret, with a sitting room in a large sunny bay. My husband was disappointed with the lack of TV in the room, but much consoled by the fact that we were the only guests that night, and we had the downstairs TV area to ourselves. We helped ourselves to the 24-hour coffee and tea early in the morning, and enjoyed Carol's delicious breakfast after. We felt very welcomed there, and the house is charming without being overdone.
Parrsboro is a different kind of town, but that is its forte. We had a great time at the rock shop (a large piece of geode for $3) and strolled the gigantic shale beach(es) at low tide. It actually becomes two parallel beaches, with a lighthouse on the end. You can drive around the bay to look back on the town, and see yet another beach. It is not touristy at all.

We spent two nights in the second-storey Gabriel room, which has a deck off it (door to deck in hallway beside room)., but the temperatures on both days were too hot to sit out, even in late September! Our room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely touches from a long-ago gentler time. Though not air-conditioned, the overhead fan kept our room cool and comfortable. I had read online reviews about the cinnamon blueberry buns...the reviews were correct! We couldn't fit them in at yesterday's breakfast, so we brought them home and just enjoyed them with coffee! Breakfast is very good (especially those buns) and plentiful...we could never eat all that was offered...and the options change daily! Patsy, our hostess, seems to "do it all," the baking/cooking/cleaning/hostessing...and she does it with a smile and a friendliness which we expect to find in Nova Scotian towns! We will likely return, maybe for a wintry getaway...and Patsy promised to test some new recipe ideas on us next time! :-)

I chose this B&B based on good reviews on Tripadvisor. I was very happy I did. When we came to the house, the first reaction was not good, it looks old and in need of some renovation. However, as soon as we got into the house we changed our opinion because it was so charming inside.

The house is more than 100 years old and it was a family house. Current owner even kept some pictures living in this house in the beginning of 20th century. The furniture is antique and it was collected with love and a great taste. Everything fits very nice together. The house has very welcoming atmosphere and we enjoyed spending evening in the room downstairs. We also enjoyed sitting at the second floor patio. We had 2 rooms, both of them had ensuites. The rooms were spacious, cozy and nicely decorated. I liked the small touches like lace napkins and other little things. What impressed us a lot was old radiators.

What made our experience even greater was the owner, Jamie. He is the person who goes beyond for his customers. He welcomed us and made us feel at home, provided us with lots of information about the area, told a lot about the house and it’s history. He is the best host we ever met and is very interesting to talk with. The breakfast is another story. It was delicious and different every morning. We liked the dining room and dining ware. It was gorgeous.

I would highly recommend staying at this place. Do not be deceived by the exterior. It is the great place to stay, very clean, very comfortable in a great location. Thank you again, Jamie.

My friend and I had a wonderful two-night stay at Evangeline's Tower. The beds and rooms were very comfortable, the homemade breakfast very tasty, and the host, Jamie, very friendly and attentive. He was more than happy to provide us with helpful info and insight on what to see and where to eat, both in the Bay of Fundy area and the South Shore. And when I left my favourite necklace behind, he called me -- before I even realized my mistake -- and went out of his way to get it safely back to me. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the Parrsboro area.
