The lodge is a beautiful spot on the river, a relaxing place to spend the night between trails and driving. The service is terrific, passionate and lovely. Yet, lunch here was tasteless. Everything we tried was really Bad (besides the soups which were ok). It was also expensive for no reason.

An older lodge tucked away on the Eastern Shore. The location is not too far from Halifax. The setting along the river is serene and peaceful. I hiked the long hike around the salmon ladder and kayaked the river to the ocean. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. My only complaint would be the low quality of the wifi/internet when trying...

On the good side the setting of liscombe lodge is beautiful. Our room had a great view over the river. Do go kayaking and do walk the trails. The liscombe trail is tiring but well worth the effort. On the down side room was tired looking, bathroom very small. Food in restaurant disappointing although the waiting staff were very personable....

Beautiful setting overlooking the river. Large room, but small bathroom, the door was very close to the toilet! Very helpful staff. Nice indoor swimming pool. Walked 4 small trails of the 6 trails nearby. wish we had more time to explore the area more fully. excellent place for families. Free boating activities available.

We were a group of 8 adults. Three couples were celebrating anniversaries, we were the chaperones!! The accommodations were PERFECT .. we were in a 4 bedroom cabin, each with own bath and mini fridge. separating the rooms was a VERY nice 'common area' with a chesterfield and comfortable chairs. This 'common room' joined the 4 rooms in such a...
