We love it! Great experience,a really special property, lovely people. Incredible music in the barn, lots of history there, musicians jumping in, The brothers orchestrating it all are a hoot. We felt really lucky to join in, feels a bit like camp. Don't get fussy about quirks and rusticity, go with the flow. Our White cabin #14 was a lot...

We were looking for a B&B on Cape Breton Island, but there was nothing available within our preferred destination of Baddeck. It was Regatta Week, and everything seemed to be booked. The Nova Scotia Tour Guide listed the Normaway, People who had reviewed it on Google Maps gave it favorable mention, so we checked availability. They had a room for...

We decided to end our tour of Cape Breton Island with the Normaway Inn. After 2 packed days of hiking, we arrived to this peaceful inn, where we took in the sunshine at golden hour before eating an excellent meal. All the ingredients are local, and most of the veggies come from their garden. I even skipped the wine that...

This is a must to visit when staying in Cape Breton. Quaint little rustic cabins located in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains and trees. Excellent food. No need to leave to find a good restaurant, they offer some of the best meals in Cape Breton here. There are tennis courts and some activities for the children but no...

It seems that they're living on their old reputation from bygone days as a great place for food and music. Not anymore. The fiddle concerts are great and a totally different experience..wonderful. The rooms are tired...need new furniture, stuffy smell, need new bathroom fixtures, etc. The food is good once delivered but the kitchen appears totally disorganized with the simplist...

We drove up from Halifax with no reservations and stopped at a Margaree visitor center to see if they could help us find a place for the night. We ended up at the Normaway. The entrance is nice with the tree lined driveway. The grounds are large and house horses on the property but I don't think there is horseback...

Recently spent a night in the Normaway in the main lodge. Great time, great music down at the Barn and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Look forward to getting back there again sometime hopefully sooner than later

My husband, son and I booked a cottage for one night as we proceeded through the Cabot Trail. The staff were lovely. Informative, helpful and kind. The cottage reminded me of my grandma's house. So cozy and comfortable. We arrived late but in time to check out the live fiddle music in The Barn. It was fun to tap our...

Our country cabin wasn't level, my bag rolled away from me! LOL Quaint to the max! Any more quaint and it would be a run down shack. Nice horse fields on the property. The food at the restaurant was delicious!

My family was excited to stay at the Normaway as we drove in from the tree-lined path. The green cabin that most of our party stayed in was nice -- clean, with a little glassed-in porch. The pull-out couch-bed was not very comfortable, but the kids were fine on it. There were no extra blankets for it. So that part...
