The room was average and noises from other guests could be heard. The lounge areas were outdated and not comfortable. The breakfast offered is a continental help yourself like those offered in many chain hotels. On our second night in Baddeck we stayed at The Lynwood Inn, with a much larger room with sitting area for $40 less per night.

We spent one night at the Dunlop Inn perfectly located at the beginning of the Cabot Trail. We had a room on the ground floor with access to the kitchen/living room as well as the sunroom. Beautiful view of the Bras d'Ore Lakes. Our hostess was very friendly and provided a buffet breakfast. The bed and linens were comfortable and... More

My family gathered at the Dunlop Inn for my sister's small wedding this September. She was married on the dock out back, the loveliest day! The staff at the inn were incredibly warm and helpful, and the inn was clean, charming, and lovely in every way. Thank you for a beautiful time, this is a very special place. :)

Wonderful owners, great location and views, comfy bed. We stayed in the Spinnaker Room that had its own private bathroom across the hall - a bit of a hassle but manageable. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Many reviewers have commented on the view, the setting, the inn itself--all true! The view is amazing. Everything in and around the house is beautifully decorated and immaculate. I only wish we could have spent more time here. Highly recommended. Book early especially if you want a room with a view.

My husband and I booked this inn about a week out for an anniversary trip that we were taking to Cape Breton. Because of that we got a room that faced the street and had a double bed and a twin, but it was a very comfortable room and clean. The inn itself was lovely! The kitchen is great (we... More

We stayed in the spinnaker room which has its own bathroom across the hall. This was a little bit of a hassle, but not too bad for 1 night. And they do provide robes. The room itself was comfortable and nicely appointed. The bathroom was very nicely updated. The nicest part of the inn are the communal sitting rooms downstairs... More

This wound up being a great spot. We stayed in the Lighthouse room, that as you would expect, looks over the Baddeck Lighthouse. It is right on the ocean front, and the views from the room, and family room, and sitting on their dock are just terrific. The entire place is very well maintained, clean and fresh. The morning breakfast... More

We were in the Mabel Bell room on the first floor for two nights. The room was smallish, but adequate because of the common living space. It was very comfortable. Only drawbacks were little shelf space in the bathroom and only a very low shampoo/soap space in the shower. The common space was great, especially the deck with the view... More

We loved our stay at the Dunlop! It is a perfect location being just at the end of the main strip. The room was clean and comfortable and the whole house is really impressive. Having the private boardwalk and deck out back is the perfect spot to take your morning coffee or an evening drink. Breakfast the next morning was... More
