My husband and I spent one night in the lighthouse guest house and loved it. The only room with private bath was already reserved, and we did not want to share a bath, so we were able to book the 2 rooms which shared a bath, and that gave us lots of space. We had a wonderful dinner and great...

This is a wonderful spot! We stayed two nights at the guesthouse and loved it. The guesthouse has four rooms for rent with a common living area/kitchenette (fridge/kettle/sink). We rented Room #1, which has a private entrance and a small bath – the compromise is that the shower is really tiny. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and the food...

My husband and I were there last week for our anniversary and it was fantastic. The views are incredible, the cuisine is delicious, and Darcy is a wonderful host. We had the best meal of our trip, saw the super moon rise over the Ocean and watched the sun set. The light-house keepers cabin is homey and meticulously clean with...

My husband and I stayed one night at the Lightkeeper's Kitchen & Guest House. The location is rugged and breathtaking and worth the 6 km gravel road drive in from the main road, and the walking hike from the upper level parking area, down the long, gravel hill walkway to access the property. The accommodations were comfortable, very clean but...

A beautiful setting, very serene and rugged. The guesthouse is comfy, quiet, clean, and the food at the adjacent restaurant is excellent. It is remote, but that is part of the splendor. There is much to see in the area. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and a great cook. I never really liked seafood too much in the past--...

Cape d'Or is often overlooked by tourists in Nova Scotia, a shame, because this B&B offers not only great views of the lighthouse and Fundy Bay coastline, but also one of the best small restaurants in all of Canada. I'm sure many people are discouraged by the walk from the parking lot to the B&B/restaurant down a steep hill but...

We spent just one evening here in Room #1. It was the highlight of our 10 day Canada trip this year. To say that this place is magical and special is an understatement. It's at the end of a road, private, quiet, and totally original in look and feel. The lighthouse is still operating (via the Canadian Coast Guard) and...

This place is just amazing. It's 5 stars for the view and location alone. Darcy is just an added bonus in my view! At first I was a bit concerned about my car on the long gravel/dirt drive to it, but my word, it was so worth it. As others have mentioned, it's remote so travel light. Park in the...

I cannot say enough good things about Cape D'or! The view from the top is nothing compared to the view at the bottom. No fences (so hang on to young children!) and the drop offs are breathtaking. During low tide you can explore some caves on one side the cape, and you can walk for miles along the bottom of...

Not sure where to start here as everything was WOW. Once you get down the hill (travel light) the view is spectacular if you can catch it between fog ins. Towering cliffs, rugged rocks and lots of wildlife.Woke up with 2 deer outside window followed by 6 more that we saw including 2 spotted fawns. Watching the tide go in...
