Must do. You don't go for the fancy accommodation, you go to see nature and hang out in a comfortable old-fashioned inn with like-minded strangers. A zillion whales, some get really close to the zodiac during the crossing, an awesome experience for anyone. Others you just view thru binoculars. Seals galore, Great hiking on raw rock. The food is good...

The full service B&B is located in a renovated lighthouse keepers house on Quirpon Island, a short zodiac boat ride from the mainland. The rooms are not large but comfortable, the beds are good and while a private bath is provided, you must exit the room to access the bath. The house is quiet, clean and comfortable. Because you are...

However, a zodiac ride can take you even closer and if the waves permit, which they didn't for us, a kayak trip would be unbelievable. Don't ignore the island though. Long...

More whales than you can count! Beautiful beautiful ice burgs up close and personal and phenomenal staff and food! Accommodations are rustic, as expected. This isn't a cushy resort. Loved our stay, we'd go back!

An amazing location that more than lived up to the hype. Not for people who are not physically fit and bring waterproof shoes, rain gear and clothes for cold weather. The kayaking looked amazing though also not for the faint of heart. Make sure to leave time for L'Anse aux Meadows historical site and a meal at the Norseman.
