The staff at Terra Nova Golf resort were wonderful when we got stranded on their property after Hurricane Matthew wiped out the road north to Gander. The property is beautiful and the restaurant is very nice as well.

Stayed here couple nights in July - the area is beautiful , quiet and wooded. The rooms are not very inspiring ... you enter a stuffy corridor and then your room has tiny windows and bathroom which is mediocre... door insisted on shutting on me if left open and wouldn't stay shut if I closed it. The light fixture cracked... More

The grounds were immaculate and the landscape lovely. A walk in the brisk air was delightful. The room was very dated. My bed was lumpy and the bathroom dusty as well as not at all modern. it needs a thorough update. it took a while for us to figure out the heating system. That was difficult and noisy. Meals were... I'm kind of split on this place. The room was clean, very happy there were no carpets here so it didn't smell bad. The room was big, the bathroom was big. The grounds were very clean, and the overall appearance was definitely up to par. I closed my room door, or so I thought, and walked towards the elevator but... More

The Very Good rating is a combination of three for accommodations and five for food service. We were here for two nights on a tour. Our room was clean, comfortable, had an excellent large king bed and a good bathroom with ample hot water. It was quiet at night. We had none of the cleanliness problems others have noted. The... Myself and husband went for a weekend getaway and was disappointed. Check in was a breeze however when we got to our room it was dirty ( bathroom was filthy....urine all over the toilet, the carpet was not vacuumed...) I went to the front desk and was advised that housekeeping would be up. I asked for an upgrade and was... More

We visited a Terra Nova luxury chalet...I guess luxury comes with different definitions. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Book a cabin near by and drive to your golf game, because the courses are beautiful. We found it odd walking into the main living area on a bright, sunny day, and seeing that three of four large blinds were closed, but we... More

At this resort to attend a friends wedding. Upon checking into the room I noticed hair on the pillow slip. Upon turning down the sheets, there was semen on the sheets. I then removed the sheet and the mattress cover was filthy with several spots of bodily fluids. I took the sheets off the bed and informed the front desk.... More

Ideally located 20 minutes drive west of Clarenville and 1 hour drive east of Gander on the TransCanada Highway. The resort is also close to the picturesque towns of Trinity and Bonavista. The resort sits right next to Terra Nova Provincial Park and boasts a beautiful golf course. The rooms are clean, renovated, and include amenities you would find in... More

Our stay began with a very unhappy worker who wanted everyone in the long line to know she was unhappy. We checked into our room to find the bathroom door would not shut or lock. The unhappy worker's response, "I don't know what to tell you." We went to our friend's room and it stank of pee and the ceiling... More
