The Tickle Inn is a gem - the real deal - anyone who has visited here will never forget the experience. Tucked in a bay at Cape Onion, close to if not the most northern inhabited locale in Nfld, the minute you drive up to it you start to think of Newfoundland's history and what life next to the sea...

We were so pleased to get to stay here for a couple of nights before Barbara and David, the hard-working proprietors (ably assisted by neighbour Sophie), hung up their aprons for a well-earned retirement. I can't really offer any advice to you as a potential visitor, because unless they have a change of heart (improbable) you are now too late,...

I found this place by the interesting name and then the photos online looked beautiful. However, the Tickle Inn is even more beautiful than any pictures can relate. Dave, Barbara and Sophie are remarkable hosts, cooks and entertainers. Rooms were spotless, meals were superb and hospitality was excellent. This is a very unique place and after many years of hard...

This was my third trip to the Tickle Inn in about 10 years, but my first with my husband. I wanted him to experience it before it closes. The Inn itself is beautiful having been lovingly restored. The 25 years experience running it shows. Anything you could wish for, anything to make your stay more pleasant, every little detail has...

My wife and I spent 3 nights at The Tickle Inn. The weather was RDF (rain, drizzle and fog) with a day of sun added for variety. After all it was September in northern Newfoundland! We didn't care because we were staying at the Tickle Inn hosted by David and Barbara and their friend Sophie. We had a routine. After...

My son and I were fortunate to discover and enjoy this jewel of a B&B before it closes. Dave and Barb are amazing hosts, offering accommodation in their lovely heritage home, delicious and artistic dinners, fresh baking and fruit for breakfast, and memorable Newfoundland music and singing in the parlour after dinner!

It all starts with 25-year professional hosts. David and Barbara and Sophie know what they are doing and really pull off the B&B experience. It continues with a 125 year old heritage house, with squeaky floors, thin walls, low head space (6') - an authentic Newfoundland family house of David and nicely refurbished 25 years ago. It is well maintained...

This B&B deserves all of the awards that it has received. Having been there six years ago, we heard that this was the last season, so wanted to make it back before the owners retired and closed their business. I shed a few tears when leaving. We will be hard pressed to find a spot that will provide as many...

My brother and I were fortunate enough to be able to spend one night at the Tickle Inn in Cape Onion during our one week (first) visit to Newfoundland - what a treat it was!!! Hosts Dave, Barb and Sophie were warm and welcoming and gave more than what was expected as hosts of a B&B. We learned so much...

The Tickle Inn is literally at the end of the road. Barbara and David welcomed us into their home/B&B and made us feel like family. They are a wealth of information about the Northern Peninsula and Newfoundland in general. There is an extensive library with a lot of reference material on the area. David can fill you in on the...
