This is really our "go-to" getaway place in Manitoba in the winter. In spite of a few weather challenges the ski/snowshoe/hiking trails are kept in the best possible condition. Our cabin was well-appointed and the view, as expected, was spectacular. The staff were friendly and kept the hot-tub in top condition (even when it was minus 30 C). Peace and...

Hey Lori T, Such kind words! Thank you! You seem to have the Falcon Trails experience dialed and we so appreciate that you love coming here. I will certainly pass along your compliments to the staff, especially the grooming staff who had to work really hard keeping the snow skiable during that strange January melt we had. Until next time!...

I have been coming to this resort since about 2004. First with my kids and now with my spouse and friends every Christmas. We come here because we can't find a better vacation location in MB. Resort Cabins are far enough from each other to be private, have screened in hot tubs on the deck, BBQ, wood stoves, loft bedrooms,...

Hello 1Mande59! Thanks for the nice review! We're glad to hear that you and your family have enjoyed coming out to our resort for so many years. You seem to appreciate all the qualities of our spot that we are most proud of. Christmas is a super magical time of year to be here out in the woods! All the...

The website originally referred to dogs but made no mention of cats. When I booked a cabin I asked about bringing my kitten and was told that she was welcome as long as I paid the extra pet fees. When we arrived, we were greeted by two women who were appalled that we had a kitten instead of a dog...

Hello Laurie B, We appreciate the feedback about your experience at our resort with regards to your cat. As noted, since your stay we have made efforts on our website to be more clear about what our pet policy is. The staff you spoke to that day was unfortunately new to their position and we have since updated them to...

The silver metal roof line was barely visible at first and then as we crested the hill it became more obvious. The cedar shake siding blended in quite nicely with the surrounding geography. We had arrived at the latest addition to the Falcon Trails Resort High Lake Eco cabins. The Sandpiper cabin was completed in early summer and we were...

Hey Gilderman2! Wow, what an incredible review of the High Lake experience, you've nailed it to a T! We are so excited about the two new cabins out at High Lake (Kingfisher and Sandpiper) and have been getting many rave reviews of them, much like your own. High Lake is like no other. We look forward to your next visit!...

My friend & I celebrated our 50th birthdays by leaving husband & kids at home to come here for peace & nature. We stayed at the new Kingfisher cabin where the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Rented the Eagle cabin; screened deck with hot tub, one bedroom downstairs with two more open ones upstairs in the loft. Private grassy shore area with fire pit and picnic table. Hello DCYYC, Thank you for the nice review! It sure is nice being at the quieter end of Falcon Lake with the main boat traffic staying outside of our little bay. That's a great tip on clearing the trees in front of the Eagle cabin, we had done some pruning there earlier this summer but will go and take another...

We rented The Owl Wing and Welcome Centre for our family gathering. The space was perfect with the large dining room, living room, closed in porch and verandah. Would come back here every year if I could. Cabins are spotless. Beautiful scenery. Nicest cabin I've ever been in. “This resort tries to be as "green" as possible: no changing towels daily, no maid service, Service is minimal, but always helpful & friendly. Bring all the food for your stay - there are restaurants nearby (that is, closer than Winnipeg or Kenora) but you don't come here for fine dining you don't cook yourself. Besides, many restaurants and stores are not open all year. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, see lots of wildlife, relaxing in a hot tub - and it seems you're far away from the typical cottage country you see at the other end of Falcon Lake.”
