The lodge is hidden away from the main road on the coast with its own exclusive little cove, from where there are magnificent views out into the Strait. The wooden lodge does have character, but is not a modern type of hotel with all the ‘mod cons’ The owners, Dan and Sandra, do have their own internet facility, but there...

This is a gem. It is no frills but an actual lodge in the forest. Perfect for observing nature and the pristine surroundings. The beds are comfortable and the dinners are superb. Dan Kirby is always present, making sure that everything is up to his standards....and those of his clients. I heartily recommend this lodge for people who like to...

Wonderful spot. Not much to do there but this is what we liked about it. The view is amazing. The rooms are very outdated though. Room nr1 is right across the reception/kitchen/restaurant, so it might be a bit noisy. If we ever come back we will stay there again.

Hidden Cove Lodge is quite remote, the last 3 kms to the lodge are dirt road. During the summer, the road is good enough for 2 wheel drive. Our room was a good size, and the bathroom was also fine. Not state of the art, but adequate. The breakfast is good, all normal items are available. Eggs are cooked upon...

Away from it all in a stunning location with black bear in the garden too. Real wildlife paradise, and we even went whale watching from the jetty. Food fine, and generally made very welcome. Rooms fine but cosy compared to Canadian norms. Make sure you obey the owners rules there are plenty of them on notices! Loved it here we...

A rare haven in this part of the island. And an unforgettable souvenir! The owner likes to entertain his customers and loves to host! You will feel home in the dinning room or around the beach. This nest is genuinely hidden in a thick forest and you ll be able to see (and meet) a lot of wild life there...

We chose this Lodge as options are limited in this region of Vancouver Island. After a few km off the main road Port McNeail - Telegraph Cove you arrive at this beautiful spot. The setting of the Lodge is simply stunning. On the other hand, the rooms are definitely dated & small, but clean. The owner also has a very...

We booked this lodge through word of mouth from someone who visited 17 years ago. We arrived around lunch time and were made to feel very welcome and were invited to have tea and cake whenever we wanted it. Once we checked in to cottage 1, we set off to Port McNeil to pick up some groceries. This took around...

This place is 3km down a country road on the water's edge, just outside of Telegraph Cove. The setting is stunning however the place is slightly haphazard. We had booked a cottage for 4 of our party and the other 2 were in the hotel itself. We drove from the hotel to the cottage past old garages, (un)inhabited caravans and...
