We have stayed at the McNeill Inn in the past and expected we'd once again be spending the night in the same building not knowing they also had rooms above the Sportsman Grill. What a surprise to realize there was no room 11 in the white stand alone inn and we were staying at a nearby location. The room was... More

Booked earlier in the year by phone. Asked for confirmation which never arrived. Tried several time to contact by email and phone. Finally spoke to someone one weeks before eight of us were due to visit. Check in at adjacent pub (no under 19's). We were charged more than the price agreed on initial phone call which is also the... More

At first glace this looks like a motel I would not have even given a second look at, but because I could not find any photos online, I took a chance because the price is really good for the small town of Port McNeill. We did not have any trouble getting access to the room thanks to another tripadvisor posting... More

The room is very nicely renovated, with a small living room/ kitchen area. King sized bed is very comfortable & is all nice & new & the bathroom is big, nice shower & lots of fluffy white towels. We were in room #7 which is directly over the kitchen so you get to listen to the gigantic extractor fan until... More

A bit of a run around - first we went to Sportsman Inn, then we were sent to Gus's Pub and then to McNeill's Inn. Apparently Gus owns the whole strip! Plain room - no amenities - not even a phone so be sure to have your mobile. Nice location across from the harbour. A bit pricy for what we... More

A bit confusing how to get a room. Checked in at the bar. Was told the room rate and was told to pay when I was leaving. As a city dweller was confused by the trust. The room was clean and nicely renovated. Ocean view. Really pleasant hosts. One of those really odd pleasant experiences you will never forget. The... More

Our stay couldn't have been nicer! We checked in at the coffee shop without a hitch. We were able to review the available rooms (they asked if we wanted to). The room was really clean, very comfortable, and quiet. The coffee shop (Mugz) serves excellent coffee and panini sandwiches...excellent way to start the day. Two thumbs up in my book!

I forget what month the new owner said she took over, but I'm pretty certain it was in 2013. Anyway, yes you check in at the coffee shop which is 20 steps away, yes it closes at 8pm but if you plan to arrive later they can accommodate as long as they get a heads up. I arrived on time,... More

You check in at a coffee shop. When we first tried to check in, the young girl had no idea how to do it so she called an adult, who arrived in 10 minutes, and got us the room ok. Problem is, the coffee shop closes around 20:00 and after that there is no way to call anyone, as far... More

You check in at a coffee shop. When we first tried to check in, the young girl had no idea how to do it so she said we should come back later. How much later? She didn't know. We came back almost 4 hours later. Someone else was there but she couldn't find our reservation and they were fully booked.... More
