What a fabulous place to stay. 3 nights, but we wished it had been longer. We had an absolutely beautiful room with a 180 degree view both from the room and the balcony that went right round the room. The sunsets from the room were breathtaking. A really lovely place to go for a short break if you want a... More

We had our two dogs. Had a delightful, spotless room with excellent basic facilities, (microwave, cutlery, dishes, fridge), very nice bathroom with a good shower and nice toiletries, good tv and comfortable q-size bed and seats and table. Good advice from the host on restaurants and things to do. This is a small hotel, beautifully set up, everything works. The... More

Situated directly over the shores of Alert Bay (the Inn is held up by stilts), we woke up every morning to the sounds of waves lapping and eagles calling. A short walking distance to the ferry terminal, U'mista Cultural Centre and local restaurants, the location was ideal. The rooms are tastefully designed, with warm wood finishings, white walls and linens.... More

We stayed for two nights as a family of four adults. We had two rooms, a double room overlooking the ocean and an upstairs room with windows looking out in two directions. Both were spacious and light, with comfy beds and modern bathrooms. Both also had mini kitchens with fridge, two ring hob, microwave oven, etc. But it's the setting... More

The inn has a bright, airy, natural aesthetic. Beautifully restored with reclaimed timber, so appropriate to the surroundings. Modern and sparkling clean. Manager, TerryLynn, was absolutely accommodating. She's easy to spot with rubber gloves, cleaning cloths hanging out of her pockets, and a cell phone earpiece. I followed the trail of potted begonias to owner, Colin Ritchie's, yellow cottage across... More

We stayed literally over the water in a hotel built on a (crumbling but safe enough) pier, The Seine Boat Hotel, owned by Colin from Reigate hence the three UK double-decker buses and the London taxi all in need of some t.l.c. together with his seine boat rotting away in the harbour down the road. Obviously far too much to... More

Greeting by a beautiful bouquet of local flowers and a chilling bottle of sparkling wine, this location is second to none. Seine Boat Inn is now the benchmark to compare all future vacations to, and I suspect there will be no others to top this list. Comfy bed, 180 degree panoramic view of the mountains and sea through every window,... More

My wife and I recently spent a few days in suite 106 (Kitgora suite) after taking the ferry from the mainland on foot (leaving the car behind was a treat). The suite is located at the end of the pier over the edge of the ocean and is simply wonderful. All the regular amenities are there in spades, but, in... More

The Seine Boat Inn is truly serene and peaceful. My room was well appointed with lovely furniture and fixtures made from reclaimed wood. I stayed in 104 and the view from my room was amazing. Imagine waking up, going to the window and less than 100 feet away is a stunning Bald Eagle sitting on top of a piling scanning... More
