Gorgeous area of the country. Quite the drive from the ferry to Ainsworth. Been on some wild mountain roads in my day but this stretch of road has some wild switchbacks!!! We did not stay at the resort. However, we were able to use the hot springs. Considering it was the last weekend before the kids going back to school...

Thanks for your visit and review. Glad you enjoyed the caves and the warmest natural hot springs anywhere! You are correct that the caves have been shored up to create a safe environment, but the minerals that form stalactites on the walls and ceiling are naturally created by the mineral water. Hope you will be able to stay with in...

This hotel is nice, clean and most of all very convenient after a few hours in the hotspings. The food at the restaurant is really good. When i go on a road trip and stop to Nelson this is the place I stay at every time Yes the price of the room is a little bit on the higher side...

Hi and thanks for the great review; we're glad you enjoyed your stay! We agree that hotel guests receive great value for the reasons you mentioned, plus pool entry on both check-in and out days, robes and fresh pool towels and exclusive use of the pools from 8-10AM daily. We now have a spa as well if you want to...

We have been coming to Ainsworth for many years and as always the Hot Springs, cave and cold pools were fantastic. Spent about 2 1/2 hours lounging and relaxing even in the rain. If you've never been it's a must do'

We arrived without reservations on a holiday weekend, so the room was expensive. I don't know what their price is on regular day. The front desk lady was very helpful and nice. They also let us park our Motorbikes under the front entry way as it was raining. Very Nice of the hotel. We got our rooms which i thought...

We stayed at the resort for 1 night as part of a motorcycle tour of BC. I would say that the room is in need of a little updating, as is the restaurant, it all looks a bit tired. It was all clean and comfortable though. And a bonus was that we could park the bike right outside our ground...

Thanks for your visit and the great review. We're thinking of planting more berries on the slope to encourage that bear to stay longer! You'll have to try our dining room another time, it gets consistently great reviews which is why it's so busy. We always ensure we have seating for hotel guests and we'll soon have the more casual...

The caves are the highlight for sure. If you can stand the heat, the caves are fantastic. Complete with stalactites and funky calcium formations, the caves are what makes this place worth the stop. My kids favorite part was going from the hot cave water into the frigid glacier water.

Thanks for your visit and for providing a review. We're happy to offer a variety of springs experiences, from the comfortable body temperature main pool to the hot cave and the cold plunge. We do have the hottest springs water anywhere that we know of - in fact we add cold water to keep the cave steamy but bearable. You'll...

We traveled 3 hours to go to the hot springs. We paid our fee, got changed and came out to the pool. After about 15 minutes of squinting because it was so bright I asked my husband to run to the car and grab my sunglasses. But the staff said if he went out to the car he would have...

I'm terribly sorry that your request was not handled properly by one of my staff. We do have different rates for single entry (stay as long as you wish) and a day pass which allows you to come and go all day. However, this is not meant to deny a reasonable request to return to your vehicle to retrieve something....

I'm glad I've been, but won't go out of my way to go again. The pools were crowded, which is what I expected just before then end of the school summer holiday. I would probably check out the other accommodation options that were within walking distance. Make sure that you have flip-flops or other footwear. The deck surface around the...

This was our second visit to the resort and it doesn't disappoint. Only down side is not many choices of restaurants close by and it's expensive to eat at resort all the time. Will be going back again next summer with two of the grand kids.

Thanks for visiting Ainsworth! We do have only one restaurant but we've recently renovated the former lounge which will offer a casual dining space featuring some more lighter and affordable menu items. You'll also be able to relax in front of the gas fireplace, soak up the panoramic lake and mountain views and enjoy some sports on the new large...
