We spent two nights at this lovely B&B run by Steve & Paula plus their lovely dog. Superb accommodation, wonderful food a smashing couple and within easy walk of Wilmington river front. Downtown Wilmington is a really nice place to visit (assuming you like Marion's etc.!)

Memorable weekend at the lovely Camilla's B&B. Steve and Paula are gracious hosts where you feel you are their personal guest for the weekend. Charming room and multi-course breakfast excellently prepared. We certainly plan to return for another visit and will recommend to our friends.

The Camellia Cottage is amazing in so many ways. From the enchanting gardens and relaxing front porch to the charming rooms. Paula and Steve are the best hosts! We immediately felt at home including our dog; it was as if we had known them forever. And the 3 course breakfast all homemade by Paula, need I say more! We can't...

While this beautiful home is in a great location, do not go here if you have any food allergies. When making the reservation to celebrate our anniversary we made it clear that I cannot be around citrus, and repeated this when we were there. That is why we were absolutely shocked when on our second morning, broiled grapefruit was on...

We are heart-sick that this happened. As many of our guests and several of these reviews on Trip Advisor can attest, we try to make sure that all of our guests’ dietary needs are addressed in the breakfasts we serve. First, we want to make it clear that we served this guest an alternate breakfast that did not include any...

The house was great and the hosts were wonderful. They were very attentive but not overbearing. The fact that they allowed dogs was wonderful for us and they had lamb treats for our pup! The location was extremely conveient and we were able to walk for drinks and dinner. We had wonderful luck with their food recommendations and would recommend...

Our stay with Paula and Steve was wonderful! It was our first stay at a B&B and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our suite was very comfortable and very clean, the breakfasts were amazing and the location was super convenient to downtown. All that plus the fact that we could bring our dog made our trip perfect. We will...

We visited for two nights and is was wonderful. Steve and Paula were very friendly and pointed us in the direction of two excellent restaurants for dinner. The rooms and clean and inviting and the breakfasts are to die for. They also encourage you to bring in a bottle of wine to have pre-dinner drinks on the front porch before...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Once home to artist Henry MacMillan, The Camellia Cottage is a high-peaked, Queen Anne shingle house featuring four guest rooms. A long veranda, painted by a local artist, provides a view of the lush garden of azaleas, magnolias, ferns and camellias. Here, great food, gracious service and a friendly atmosphere make for a relaxing guest experience. Greet each morning with coffee at your door and a sumptuous breakfast of fruit, homemade pastries and entree. Paula’s stint as a hotel pastry chef ensures a delightful dining experience. The Crane Suite features an ornate, metal bed, carved fireplace and vibrant color. Formerly the sun room, the bath and dressing area is filled with lush tropical plants. Henry’s Room, featuring a canopy bed and fireplace, reflects the stateliness found in two of Henry’s paintings hanging in the house. Jane’s Room is named after Henry’s mother and features floral designs and vintage photos complementing the four-post bed and fireplace. In the Tuscany Room, the golden glow of the walls and large windows make you think you’re in an Italian villa. Enjoy the fireplace from the whimsical iron bed or soak in the claw-foot tub with a glass of Chianti. ... more   less
