When I stayed at the New Bern KOA, I thought I would never go back to another KOA (dirty pool, campers packed like sardines), but I'm so glad I gave one another try. The WIlmington KOA sites are large, the pool is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and they are just on the ball all the way...

Stayed two nights as we were meeting friends who lived locally. Staff was friendly and helpful. Site was large and level. Is especially a good campground for kids as much for them to do. Route 17 very busy to turn from if coming from the south as you turn across traffic. Come in from north if possible.

This KOA had a very friendly staff, very clean facility all around (laundry, campstore, playground, jump pad, dog park area, swimming pool, restrooms) all were very accomodating. We had a 31 foot travel trailer and our site was next to the playground which was perfect for our family of 4. Close to beaches and a great area. RV carwash is...

Great people here... Even babysat my dog!!! They are working on improving sites and will be even better when the work is done.... I highly recommend this campground to anyone. Central location on Market Street is handy too.

great staff, very accommodating. They know the area. Sites are large and plenty of space. Our daughter attends UNC-Wilmington and we will stay there numerous times each year. Close to downtown area and beaches.

This is a very nice campground located on Hwy 17 going into Wilmington and can accommodate any size unit. There is a little road noise so a site further back in campground is better. KOA is a conveniently located about 15 min from Wrightsville Beach and about 15 min from the downtown waterfront area. Lots of pull-through sites, not many...

This is our first stay here on an overnight, passing through to South Carolina. The staff was very friendly. It met our needs nicely. We made a visit to near by Wrightsville Beach and lovely Airlie Gardens. If you are looking for a roomy site this is not the place. Given the convenient location it is understandable. If we had...

grounds are very clean, sites are large, and staff very friendly. Only bad thing is the traffic on 17,never did like suicide lanes for turning.Really can not say best in the area as it is the only one in the area.

We stayed at the KOA in Wilmington for a weekend getaway. We have a 20ft tag along trailer. Our site was right beside the playground. This was great for our two small children. However, I would probably avoid this site during busy summer months. I would expect it to be noisy. Pros: very friendly staff, clean restrooms, nice pool area...

We have been traveling for about a month and have stayed at many campgrounds. This by far was the nicest one so far. We stopped here unexpectedly as we were traveling through NC. We did the night check-in and picked site 28. We had a nice patio, firepit and table and chairs. We didn't get to explore until the next...
