we stayed in the hemingway suite which has a giant garden jacuzzi tub that you can look out over the street in, thanks to the room's 3 sets of french doors. lovely sized private balcony overlooking the street and if someone would just trim the trees on the other side of the road you could see the cape fear river....

This is a really nice B & B. Very friendly owners, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent breakfast and superb location. Large parking area off the street in front of the hotel. If you need a place to stay in Wilmington that is very close to the riverfront with shops restaurants etc etc, this is it.

My husband and I stayed in the Kipling room at the Front Street Inn in Wilmington during a trip to NC. Our hosts, Richard and Polly ( and Clyde), were warm and pleasant, our room quiet and comfortable, and the breakfasts delish. The inn is walking distance to downtown and close to all the beautiful NC beaches. Wish we could...

The inn is located only 1 short block from the waterfront on the south end of the river walk. There are nice restaurants and shops nearby on Water street and Front St. The management were very friendly and accommodated us with our little dog. They have one suite that they will allow a small dog called the Traverna. The parking...

When you can combine a great location with warm hosts, real home cooked breakfasts and Inn Keeping family you want to call your own, you know you've found a great B&B. One of the reasons we choose the Front Street Inn was because it offered a great location--walking distance from the historic district shops and river walk and no more...

We travel quite a bit but this was our very first B&B stay. I don't know if this is an average B&B or if we were just incredibly lucky to start with a great one! We could not have been more comfortable. We were met at the front door and escorted to our room (Kipling). The room was simple and...

Late on a rainy evening, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful staff. Our orientation included a personal tour and oral history of the inn. We were amazed at the large size and wonderful décor of our room. After settling in, the staff recommended several restaurants within walking distance of the inn. It was nice to walk among the...

The Front Street Inn is the perfect place to stay in Wilmington. Each room is unique in its design, and the touches are impeccable. We stayed in the Monet room, which had books filled with Impressionist art, as well as a claw-footed bathtub that Monet himself could have used (in my imagination :). The breakfast was delicious--pasteries, a hot egg...
