We've stayed at B&Bs all over the US and this was one of the best! Very welcoming host, beautiful setting, great breakfast and wonderfully decorated house and property. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. We stayed in the Mountain view room and loved it with a big shower and a jacuzzi tub. Bella, a Newfoundland greets you,...

We had 4 great nights at Lazy Bear Lodge, and hated to leave! Trees, flowers, birds, deer, squirrels, a small "waterfall" with the soothing sound of water trickling, and gorgeous mountain views from comfortable porches with rocking chairs....heaven! The lodge is beautiful and homey inside, and we felt that we were staying with family...it was that comfortable. Breakfasts were just...

Beautiful Lodge tucked into the woods with magnificent views of the mountains and valley below. The building itself was obviously built with a lot of love for the surroundings and is a treat to walk around and through. Anne was a wonderful hostess and the breakfast was delish. The rooms and common areas were cozy, the porches a perfect place...

Anne is a great host! She and her husband (and Bella) provide a welcoming retreat abundant with wildlife and outstanding views. You will enjoy the delicious breakfast (and the Mystery Butter) while watching the squirrels and birds from the large windows or on the porch. Loved our stay there!

The Lazy Bear Lodge is among the best Bed and Breakfast Inns we have stayed with. Anne made every guest feel special and pampered. The breakfasts were phenomenal. And Bela, the Newfoundland, was a treasure. The wildlife, the southern hospitality, and the tranquil setting made this a wonderful three day getaway for us. Thank you Anne!

Upon arriving guests are greeted at the door by Bela the Newfoundland--who looks like she was playing the lazy bear the warm evening we arrived. Anne the innkeeper took wonderful care of us for the couple days we were there. It feels just like home, but with much better breakfasts than home (I'm the breakfast cook when not at the...
