This was a great fun safe place for the family and friends. The kids were thrilled with the fishing, paddle boads, river and hiking. This is a great campground and a fun place to stay while visiting near by mountain hikes.

We stayed here over the weekend. KOA's generally have the same amenities across the board so there were no surprises here. What makes them different is the staff and the scenery. This is a very peaceful campground. You are surrounded by mountains and the only noise besides a camper pulling in is the train on the other side of the...

this is a really nice KOA. So pretty, with beautiful ducks on the beautiful water and tall trees Friendly staff, clean bathrooms with good showers and a well stocked store. Close enough to the city, I would go back. Crappy internet is my one complaint.

This campground was very disappointing. You are literally right on 70 and can hear all of the cars. The site in the B section are literally stuck in like sardines. We were originally in B2… If we stayed there we would have never even come out of our camper because our awning was literally 1 foot from the camper next...

We were in section A with the river at our backs. It was lovely and peaceful...if you don't mind the trains which come thru the area. The camp store had a great selection of knick-knacks and munchies & the staff we interacted with were friendly.

Been to this Koa 2 yrs in a row. Plenty of workers, always there to help. Keeps a close eye on all who enters. No tag in window, no entry. Lots for kids to do. Pool, creek, lake, bingo, hay ride, play ground, game room. Would always recommend.

KOA's are always the same and very good. there are tons of activities and tons of children on bikes, scooters, etc. so be careful. the place is well maintained and the sites are level. our site was quite nice but some of them are very tight.

KOA East Asheville sits on a gorgeous piece of property with the Swannanoa River running through it. There are a variety of ducks waddling around freely, many with tiny babies closely following. They are well fed by guests, appear to be very happy in their environment and are actually quite entertaining to watch. My husband and I stayed for a...

We spent five wonderful, rain soaked days at Asheville East KOA. But even the rain didn't keep us from realizing what a special place this was. On the day of our arrival, I was VERY apprehensive about backing into a camp site. Luckily, a wonderful older gentlemen escorted us to our site and helped guide me though. He was a...

Workampers were not friendly, and there were plenty of them. Restrooms were dirty. Some of the workampers who sit around all day waiting for arrivals should be checking and cleaning restrooms. The outside area where breakfast is served on weekends was dirty, and again not friendly.

“Tip: The 2-room cabin is only $10 more than the 1-room cabin. Pay the extra $10 for the extra space. It's money well-spent!”
