We checked out after the first night. Website is misleading. No view of beach, no blow dryer, no coffee cups, the coffee pods don’t fit in the coffee maker, no towel service, no coat hangers, no-no-no! No refund either! What a mistake. We were so disappointed and the management still hasn’t returned our call after we went to the offices.
We scheduled to stay here a couple nights through Airbnb, but had to reschedule due to personal conflicts. While we were grateful to reschedule, I wish we would have just cancelled and cut our losses. This motel is incredibly unprofessional and we had a terrible stay. We drove for five hours just to show up to no one in the front office. We had to call a number just to figure out how to check into our rooms. Ten minutes after calling, they let us know they had emailed us the code into the room...2 months ago! Do they change the codes between guests? It makes me question the safety of staying here. The code didn’t even work. We called again and said someone would be there in 5 minutes. It’s raining, it’s 10pm and we had all our stuff and figured it wouldn’t be worth sitting in the car for five minutes. Except they showed up about 20 minutes later, which feels like forever after driving five hours and standing in the rain. The room was cute, but we immediately noticed it felt just as humid as outside. The next morning, we discovered a crack between the A/C wall unit and the wall. It was obvious this hole in the wall was slightly too tall for the A/C, letting all of the humidity in from outside. It was uncomfortable and we felt like we were swimming in the room. With it being a rainy weekend, we were pretty much confined to the room and felt it was too uncomfortable to stay another night. We took a photo of the crack and checked out early. By the way, no one sitting at the desk in the middle of the day. We waited a few minutes before one of the ladies noticed us from the other room. I’ve never been to a motel where there wasn’t someone sitting on site 24/7. AirBnb tried to get us a refund for this miserably failed trip, but the motel refused and said they wished they would have known and could have moved us to another room. Give them another chance after all that happened? No thanks. Poor management. Cheaply built motel. It’s not even worth the price.…
Try to be short and sweet but straight to the point when we pulled in it was quite a shock because you cannot see the ocean or any part of the ocean or sand from this place. We paid $500 for our stay and we had three rooms. To begin with, the man that runs the hotel had a cocky and not friendly persona, and is almost rude from the beginning for such and expensive short stay. Secondly, the house keeper that is older, and always wore a bandana, was rude from the beginning, when we walked into the room which was totally painted block walls resembled a jail in which I interned at, I immediately sat down and cried because it was awful to look at, the shower curtain was down and on the floor and there was no toilet paper. This was no big deal until I asked for some for the room. The beach was so far to walk with all the children so we didn’t make many trips to it, for it was way too much trouble unless we drove with all the beach items. We stayed most of the time in the pool which was totally in closed in a tall wood fence that u can’t see out. I then observed that when we got back into the room that the house keeper had been in the room put the shower curtain up but no cleaning ,no trash out ,no beds made no toilet paper still, no nothing, so I was trying to figure out exactly why she went in the room to begin with if she wasn’t going to clean it! The next day she skipped our room while we were at the pool and went on to clean the one beside us, they had left for a day at the beach. Once we had left to join them at beach, we returned to get a left phone, she was in the room cleaning well what we thought was cleaning ,she met us at the door and told us we needed to clean our nasty room very rudely! We just about croaked because the room wasn’t messy we then found no trash taken out no towels or toilet paper again! What I did notice was she had taken our leftovers from the expensive restaurant from lunch we had nicely sitting on the tiny bar over the fridge, and I’m not sure what happened to them because we still had the same trash from when we first got there the day before and they weren’t in the trash. I was shocked and hurt because I wasn’t sure why she was even in the room when we left if she wasn’t bringing towels or paper, beds or well nothing! This was a big disappointment of a stay and very unprofessional people who made me and my entire family feel out of place and acted like they didnt care if we were there or not! Or if we ever came back again!…
As long as you are not expecting luxury, this is a good option for a location close to a public beach access and some of the island’s best restaurants and bars. It was raining the whole time we were in town, but we would have loved to try out the pool, which is a nice offering. The hammocks looked inviting too. Cleaning service during our 2-night stay would have been nice, as would have hand soap. We ran out of clean towels and coffee because the room wasn’t serviced. The unit did have a small fridge and a microwave, which was nice. Adding an ice machine to the property would also be helpful. We didn’t hear our neighbors which was also nice. Overall, clean and comfortable room.
Recently renovated. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend for a quick girls trip. We had a blast. Good location with a beach access within walking distance. Room was nice. Had a coffee maker and fridge. Needed more counter space or somewhere to put things, but the rooms don’t really have enough space to allow for that. The shower wasn’t my favorite, but it was functional and did its job. Not a lot of outlets in the room. That’s tough with just two girls! But I’d so stay again! Affordable, easy check in and out and all staff I met were nice and helpful!
