Only good thing was the bed was comfortable. Almost everything was dirty when we got in the room. There was hair and dirt on the pillows. In my parents room, their heat went out and it got down to about 50 degrees in there. Management was notified and they didn't bother to take anything off the bill. We won't recommend this place to anyone.
This was our second visit. Last year they were closed due to hurricane damage. The first time we had a two room suite, this time we just got the two queen beds. The kitchenette was a pleasant surprise but the floors were extremely gritty again and we struggled to get the correct number of clean towels each day. The other guests were extremely loud regardless of what time of night it was and it felt like they were in the room with us yelling up and down the stairs.
Dirty and lies!!!!!! Had made reservations for a weekend and the weather was going to be bad so called and asked to move reservations to the next weekend and was told no rooms were available. After getting off the phone I looked and there were 10 properties available!!!! My husband even called and checked availability and he was told there were plenty of rooms available so I call back and get the run around about the online booking had been acting up and then I mentioned my husband had called a few minutes before and was told there were rooms available and I was immediately told the manager would call me back within 30 minutes which did not happen! So... I called them back and they magically had a room available!!! So.... on to the room..... we get there late , after driving/walking around finally found the office where the keys were in a mailbox. We get to our room and neither of the keys unlocked our door!!!!!! We had to call the emergency number and get someone out of bed to come open the door and make new keys for us! As we entered the room we were greeted by a roach, sinks and commode were dirty, fingernail behind nightstand, shower curtain was filthy, spots all over mirror. We had reserved the room for 4 people and was only left 2 towels and 2 washcloths (which were stained) and when we went to get more were told there was a towel shortage!!!!! Brought us new towels the next day and left all our dirty ones piled up in the floor! AC stopped working and made a horrible noise and blew out black stuff all over the vanity and water leaked out of it. Was told at 9:15AM that someone would be there at 9:30 to look at it.... at 10:30 no one had ever shown up and it was getting hot in the room. Went back to the office and was then told they didn’t know what time maintenance would get there! Trash piled up all around the building in piles!! None of the trash cans were emptied during our 5 days there! Left a note on the door asking for the room to be swept and got a note in return stating it had been swept .......it had not been touched and was never swept our entire stay! Gross!!!!…
I am completely disgusted. Came in from the beach late at night to find a massive roach on the floor. We saw them outside earlier but that was outside. Not to mention the floors aren’t taken care of. Our first day we took our shoes off at the door as normal. Less than hour later, our feet were black. We had to purchase our own broom since day after day nothing had been cleaned. If you like slime, the pool is for you. The only plus was a comfortable bed.
I really hate to complain, but when people ask me about my trip, I have to be honest. Furthermore, if I can keep someone from making the same mistake I did, so be it. Upon arriving, I discovered that once I check-in and pay the remainder of my money, I can get a refund. Um...that should have been a red flag. That is very bad business! I guess I was a little too trusting of what I saw online and in fact would have demanded all my money back if allowed to see the room prior to check in, but I didn't ask. Having worked in housekeeping, the 1st thing I always do is check the beds. There was hair in and on ALL of them. So here goes my list of issues: peeling paint in the bathroom, dirty hand print from previous guest and the balcony door wouldn't lock. Inch thick dust on the ceiling fans and filthy floors(I bought a mop to clean) "Clean" towels were stained throughout and we did not use the wash clothes(bought some from DG) One pool was open and the other had some green water in it. If all this wasn't bad enough, the laundry room is on the 3rd level. After hauling wet clothes all the way up, the washer wasn't working. No big deal, put them in the other one...well, that one didn't work either!! So , at this point, I am done. Call the office, and there is nothing they can do, so I had to go to the laundromat. At this point, my family vacation is a nightmare. My family and I made the best of it, but we will never stay here again and will be doing a lot more research before staying anywhere. Thank God it wasn't completely ruined though;the weather was nice and the ocean was awesome! A word of advice: research, read reviews, and don't stay anywhere that won't refund 100% if somethings not right.…
