Quiet hotel, excellent staff, close to everything we needed. Just a little confusing on how to get into hotel but that is a D.O.T. issue not the hotels fault.More

Whispering Pines Country Club is Is on the northern section of Pinehurst while Days Inn is in the far south. The distance between the two is listed as 17 minutes. This does not take into account the neighborhood that you have to wind through to find this hotel. I would guess it would be more like a half hour, door to door.
Days Inn has a breakfast room where they serve a meager "hot" breakfast. There are multiple signs warning you NOT to remove food from the breakfast room. I saw a lovely dining room next to the breakfast room, but it was not open when I was there.
Check-in is standard, 4:00, while check-out is 11:00. However, something i and other tripadvisor reviewers noticed, this hotel seems to have people who live here. I think, because its occupancy numbers are so low, they are working with social services and have a homeless population living there. It did not make my stay pleasant or comfortable.
