These guys are fabulous! Wonderful horses, good food, incredible scenery and fantastic staff. Can not recommend highly enough! If you come from a cold climate it is a good idea to give yourself some time to acclimatise before the trek (wish I had spent a week at the station before we started) and definitely need riding experience for the longer...

We camped done by the river We were all alone which we just loved but went up to the homestead for dinner which was just great. Our hosts were very accomodating and informative. Diggers Rest is a simple place without any overkill. It's a place to experience total ruggedness and intense laid back living. It has an uncanny ability to attract an amazing array of interesting international souls who go there for anything from 2 weeks to 2 years to commune simply with living in the moment. Diggers Rest is an interesting place...

A huge thank you to Alida for going out of her way to accommodate us at a very busy time. I travelled down from Darwin to take some Kununurra locals for a ride for their birthday and we all loved it. Alida is a great host and you can tell she absolutely loves her horses as all are in excellent...

What an experience from start to finish. A real immersion into Kimberley life. Stunning scenery, kind cooperative horses, delicious food and plenty of adventure along the way. Everyone was so welcoming and I got to do and see things I had only dreamed about. If you can ride and are physically able give a trek a bash. Worth every cent!

We visited in May and spent three nights at Diggers Rest Station. We stayed in a bush hut and it was fantastic to wake up each morning to the glorious views of the Cockburn Ranges. Our hosts, Alida and Roderick ensured that we had everything for our comfort. The staff were very friendly as were the numerous animals (we particularly...

“The bush huts are wonderful and a great way to feel as if you are a part of nature. If you love frogs (I do) you won't be put of by the frequent visitors to the outdoor bathroom. If frogs aren't your thing then a room at the homestead may be a better choice.”
