As you would expect for an old boys school the buildings are hard to keep at a constant (or sometimes pleasant) temperature, but pre warned is pre armed. There is a swimming pool, restaurant, plenty of country air and a variety of history in the wood shingled buildings. Definitely a blast from the past for the older generation.

This review is to set the level of expectation! Fairbridge Village originally was the first farm school set up to house migrant children. There are 55 heritage listed buildings and 10 newer ones. You are accommodated in these buildings. There are 23 different self contained cottages that sleep from 2 to 56! Ceiling fans but no air conditioning. There is...

Visited over the WA Day weekend from interstate, as part of a large hobby group. Our sub-group occupied most of one house, with many others being accomodated all over the village. We also had access to the big hall, offices and BBQ area. The group managed to heat and cook enough food to feed over 100 people, then a higher...

Stayed in one of the houses over a weekend in March. House was poorly maintained with lots of items in the house not working. Fire alarm went off due to exhaust not working in the house and it took 2 hours and 6 phone calls to get the matter seen too. Just as well it wasn't a real fire. Can't...

I went along with 17 other ladies for a Girls Weekend Away at Fairbridge Village and hired Cook House for us to stay in. I was coordinating the group and in charge of cooking a Xmas in July Meal on the Saturday Eve. It was really hard catering for 18 ladies given the lack of equipment provided...luckily I had bought...

Recently took a group of students for a three day camp. The activities were good, and the houses were adequate, if in need of some maintenance. We had some issues with the mealtimes, as two other school groups shared the same time. Other venues have had staggered times to ensure food and space for all. Overall, it provided everything we...

It was the longest 3 nights and 4 days ever. The activities were good except for the swarm of flies that were trying to eat us alive. The cabins were very eery and we had a number of claims of weird events that occurred within our cabin. For example footsteps and knocks in the middle of the night while everyone...

We went here for a wedding so with lots of friends staying in other cottages we got the chance to check out a few of the places and unfortunately, ours (Lawley 3) was in the poorest condition, being full of holes and above all, INFESTED with every manner of creepy crawly in existence. I have big problems with spiders and...

We attended a wedding at Fairbrige. Everything their felt dirty. The ceremony was held in the Chapel. It was just yuk. We were supposed to stay in the cottages. I walked in and said to my husband, "We are not staying here". The place was damp, cold and dusty, with about 8 single beds in the one room. We chose...

“This is a budget getaway, relatively close to the city - if you don't care about comforts, it isn't too hot and you don't have much money but want somewhere to go with friends, this is perfect for you.”
