We picked stopping at Tanunda mostly to break up our travel day after leaving Kangaroo Island for Broken Hill. We were greeted by the manager, a lovely young lady, and made most welcome. All the units have been refurbished with fresh paint and new carpets and fittings. Beds are very comfortable, nice hot showers, jug, toaster etc included. Rooms are air conditioned. Located just on the edge of town only minutes to town centre. There is a restaurant here with Asian or Aussie menu, great friendly service from Sherry and staff. Highly recommended.
Great for an overnight stay. The rooms have all been updated and gives a clean modern feel. Friendly staff. The Asian Kitchen restaurant on site was excellent. Best laksa I have had in years. Well worth the stay just for the restaurant. A plus.
Whilst the Motel is a budget Motel it is very clean. The new owners are putting a huge effort into the maintenance of the place and have done a wonderful job. They are exceptionally helpful and made sure that we were well looked after. I could not have been happier and will be returning.
We stayed for 3 nights and while the rooms are in need of an update they are quiet, a good size and the bed was comfortable. The price value equation was excellent and the motel is ideally situated within walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. Great value at the current price.
Overnight stay in the Barossa at this older motel. We had at busy day and our rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy. Great electric blanket but air con a bit noisy. This is a cheaper option and it’s showing it’s age but I believe refurbishments are starting soon. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will stay again.
Room was ok Hot water took a long time to heat up. Spacious parking Air conditioner did cut out and in a bit and was a little noisy. Bed was equipped with electric blanket. The room was clean and tidy
I hated it. Very old motel, with old carpet, old tiles, wallpaper. Rooms all smelled. Horrible bathrooms without doors that you can close so I froze all night. Temps down to 5-6 degrees. Electric blanket on bed didn't work. Horrible reverse cycle air conditioner did not adequately warm the room and rattled crashed and banged all night waking me repeatedly. Bed hard and horrible and horrible hard pillows were very uncomfortable. I get bad cramps and took my hotpack - but had no way of heating it, so woke frequently during the night with cramps. Also the following morning went to iron my clothes for my Mothers Day outing - no Iron and no Ironing Board! Phone said to dial 7 for room service - and the phone didn't work! Restaurant closed, so had to order Uber. Couldn't wait to get out of there. The town itself and the local attractions were all delightful.…
Located just over a kilometre from the town bars and restaurants, this basic motel was a little dated but clean and spacious. A good value option to tour the region further rather than return to Adelaide. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.
Stayed here recently. Located within easy reach of the wonderful Barossa wineries. The motel is clean and comfortable but rather dated. if you are looking for budget accommodation at a good price then this is the place to stay. At reception we were greeted by a friendly 4 -legged receptionist. My only concern was the smoke detector mounted on the ceiling, with its cover wide open. Didn't seem compliant!
Reasonably priced accommodation. Spacious room with two queen beds. The room is showing it's age but was clean and adequate. Undercover parking was a bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Well located in the region with easy access to local eateries.
