This was a comfortable stay at Barossa House. Unit was clean and had the needed applications. Bed was also great. It is a house outside the town so a car is recommended. Very quiet place. Staff was nice.
Our return visit to Sophia and Leo at Barossa House was very enjoyable. This time we brought another couple with us and we were warmly welcomed.Great Location in Tanunda, beautiful historical building. Rooms Recently updated. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts, great banter with Leo, smiles and entertainment provided by son Peter. Sophia goes above and beyond to ensure her guests enjoy their stay not only in their BnB but also in the Barossa Valley. Already planning another holiday to lovely SA.
Excellent location, really central to everything and only a few minutes drive into Tanunda town. Beautiful grounds and views of vineyards, such a wonderful host in Sophia, overall a great place to stay. Sophia made the most amazing breakfast each morning and treated every guest like they were long lost friends. Our room was the Jacaranda Suite and it was well worth the extra $$. Big, private, nicely furnished, with a balcony to spend a lazy afternoon drinking wine on. We loved it and we don't often do BnBs.
My husband and I recently stayed for one night at the Barossa House. Sophia is an extremely gracious host who goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable a feel at home. The house itself is charming, immaculately clean and has a beautiful garden surrounding it. Sophia makes the most amazing breakfast in the morning, just adding to the charm of the experience! Highly recommend
We stayed at this beautiful house for 3 nights while holidaying in the Barossa. Sophia is a very gracious host. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she cooks the most delicious breakfast for her guests. She is also very helpful with her knowledge of things to see and do. Leo her husband is friendly and great to have a chat with. Peter their young son was a whiz showing us how to use netflix. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The room had a comfortable queen size bed and everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. I would certainly recommend Barossa House as a place to stay.
My husband and I have stayed at the Barossa House several times. New owners have taken over the House and all I can say is that they have made some fantastic improvements and that they are awesome hosts. There are several rooms to choose from and we were lucky to receive an upgrade. We had a tasty freshly cooked breakfast in the dining room. Always clean, great location, quiet and a beautiful old home.
Beautiful old home with I believe 3 rooms available, The host Sofia was extremely accommodating. Room was beautiful with all the amenities we'd need. Sofia made a great home cooked breakfast for us in the morning made to order as well as any coffees you'd like and an assortment of cold breakfast options. even had all gluten free options for my gf. Gave us great recommendations for the area, would absolutely stay there again if we make it back!
Fantastic hosts in Sophia and Leo with their son, Peter, who helped make the visit memorable. Their recommendations were spot on, be it for wine tastings, dining and places of interests. Their breakfast is supplemented with a great cup of coffee. They took the time to solicit feedback and were very warm and friendly. I hope they continue to be the same going forward, and highly recommend a stay here, if you are in Barossa Valley.
Amazing guest accommodation adjacent to the house was our home for 3 nights. Super soft bed, great linen and towels. Sophia cooks up a storm at breakfast with lashing of everything you want, definitely sets you up for a day of wine tastings. On the late afternoon return open a bottle of wine head outside your amazing private room with chairs and tables for a wine or two. Sophia will recommend restaurants for dinner, wineries to visit and places to shop. She is a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend and the hosts are incredible, will definitely return soon. Thank you.
We stayed at the Barossa House for 2 nights and our first thought was what a beautiful garden and home. We didn’t mind too much about the minimal interaction with the hosts, as it was not necessary and we had all we needed. It was a little room, but cosy. Very clean and well maintained. We had breakfast in the morning and expected it’d be help yourself, buffet style. But, nope, we got to meet lovely Sophia and she was in the kitchen, slaving away, make us each a delicious hot breakfast and cup of coffee. We got to meet the other guests in the house over breakfast as well who were all very nice and it was just overall a really cool experience. The little things like coming back into our room after a day out and having our bed made and room tidied up and more chocolate and…
