Stayed here for four nights in May. The five rooms are located around the four sides of one old cottage. Our room and bathroom were both very large and tastefully furnished although, our delightful and very helpful host Jonathon advised that, the new owners (Pirathon Wines) hoped to gradually refurbish the rooms to make them even better. Our bedroom was furnished with a king bed (very comfortable) that had two bedside tables with reading lamps either side of the bed, a long bench at the end of the bed, a single comfortable arm chair (another would have been useful), a plastic fold up table, a Sony Bluetooth player, a minbar, kettle, electric blankets and a flatscreen TV. There was also a small hanging cupboard with two bathrobes. The room had a reverse cycle air conditioner and a ceiling fan. The large bathroom had a good sized vanity, a walk-in shower with both rainwater and hand held shower heads (pressure OK) and a huge standalone bath that would have comfortably taken two people. Heating in the bathroom would be useful as would towel rails rather than hooks which don’t really allow the towels to dry properly. Both the room and bathroom were very clean on arrival and were given what I would call a light clean during our stay with the beds being made and a general tidy up although the floor was not vacuumed. WIFI was included and worked very well. There was also plenty of free parking. Breakfast was served in a separate building which the new owners intend to also turn into a tasting room for their nearby winery during Cellar Door hours. This was a lovely space with a fire burning during the mornings, afternoons and evenings. The included breakfast was a very good mix of cold and hot food with several different juices, cereals, breads with a choice of preserves, cheese and meats and a hot selection from a choice of ten different toppings on a muffin or croissant including egg and bacon. Coffee and tea was provided. Jonathon our host was excellent. Friendly, informative and exceptionally welcoming, including providing us with wine each evening whilst sitting in front of the fire. Lanzerac is only a couple of minutes drive from the centre of Tanunda or an easy flat 1.3 klm walk. It is also within easy reach of a multitude of wineries and restaurants. We will definitely stay again.…
Just loved our stay for 2 nights. Nothing was too much trouble for Jonathan and he even allowed us to have a light “Sunday” dinner (eggs and toast). Thanks to Chef William who came in especially. The Estate is beautiful and our rooms were comfy and well fitted out. Thanks again, Jonathan.
After 8 long months of waiting we finally made it and WOW! We LOVED our stay here at Lanzerac and could have easily stayed longer and when next in the Barossa will not look elsewhere for our accommodation. Jonathan and his team do a fabulous job and go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay and have everything you need whilst staying. The rooms are fantastic, comfy, cosy and well appointed and the reception, bar, lounge around the fireplace and breakfast room do not disappoint. The breakfasts are a treat, it a lovely way to start your day and great spot to relax and unwind by the fire at the end of your day. Beautiful vistas with great sunsets. Can’t say enough about our stay. We also found it to be very central. Thanks for your hospitality and we sure will return!
It’s very hard to find the right property to stay at when travelling. We tend to do a lot of research and we mostly get it right. Well this time we absolutely got it right! What a wonderful place. The rooms are very comfortable……the beds, the pillows etc Loved the complimentary bottle of local red, which went down a treat Jonathan, our host while we stayed, was a delight. Helped us choose places to eat, places to visit. The breakfasts set us up for the day to tour the area. When we come back to the Barossa we will definitely make Lanzerac our place to prop. Thank you.
Jonathan at reception was extremely welcoming and very helpful re information of the area. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The gardens are a feast for the eye. I highly recommend Lanzerac country estate.
Absolutely enjoyed our accommodation. Our Breakfast each morning was fantastic. Freshly cooked with an individual choice of food from crosont to full breaky. Our room was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. Thankyou for helping make our Anniversary a special one.
What a little gem this place is, the hosts are warm and welcoming. The accommodation it perfect the king bed is Devine and the breakfast is amazing with plenty of options and did mention the coffee, an all round great B&B in the Barossa. A must visit
We keep returning with good reason. Fantastic hosts, beautiful rooms, killer breakfast and cool vibe. I suggest booking early and in advance, especially now that travel is a bit easier. This place and our hosts exude warmth and great hospitality. It’s our third visit, but no means our last
It's just wonderful to stay accomodation where the amenities are beautifully curated and fresh and topped with warm and excellent service. The breakfast is fab and really differentiates Lanzerac. Stunning garden on the scale of a park.
This was our second stay at Lanzerac Estate, and yet again it ticked all the boxes. Justin and Casey are friendly hosts, eager to assist, and they continue to provide a warm, comfortable, but sophisticated place to base your Barossa stay. We stayed in a different room to last year, but it was equally comfortable and stylish. Breakfasts were delicious as usual. I did love getting to meet Wesley, the handsome vizla this time. Such a good boy! Thank you - I'm sure we'll be back
