We stayed two nights in this three room cottage. Built in the 19th Century the owners have refurbed the sitting room/kitchen, bedroom and ye old bathroom beautifully. We were in the middle cottage (of 3), with our friends taking an adjoining cottage. A well stocked kitchen - free cereals, bacon & eggs (enough for our two mornings) bread, butter, jams... More

Had a wonderful three nights during the Rio Olympics. It was great to sit in front of the slow combustion heater and enjoy all the treats that had been supplied, especially the breakfast provisions. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom huge with a spa and separate shower which was very thoughtful for people not wanting to use the spa.... More

We spent two nights here in October. This is possibly the best B&B we have stayed in. The building is a heritage site with magnificent gardens surrounded by other very old and beautiful houses. Our accomodation comprised four rooms with a comfortable lounge room with a slow combustion fire, a kitchen/dining room, an enormous bathroom with spa and a bedroom.... More

We've done heaps of Travel Auctions & this one would have to rate as one of the very BEST! Margaret was such a wonderful host (hostess) asked us to let her know if we needed anything else, well we didn't as every possible thing was catered for. A great big step back in time surrounded by simple luxury. Antiques everywhere,... More

We recently had a two night break at Devonshire house and how wonderful it was! Could not have asked for more. We stayed in room 3 and could not get over how spacious it was but so charming. It was lovely to relax by the wood fire after a day of sight seeing and wine tasting. The spa was welcome... More

We booked a single bedroom cottage (through Travel Auctions). The cottage (attached and part of an old hotel) had a comfortable lounge/dining area/kitchen and a wood burning heater as well as air condidtioning. Large bathroom with spa. Wood for the fire was supplied and we enjoyed using the fire both nights. Close to Clare Valley, Martindale Hall and Burra. Historical... More

We have stayed at Devonshire House 4 times now and love it to pieces. The history is immense and is presented in the wonderful slate floors, thick stone walls, character cupboards, doors and even the massive locks on the doors. Each room is different but filled with beautiful furniture and a very comfortable bed. We always stay late autumn or... More

Mintaro is a leisurely two hour drive north of Adelaide. There is little in the town itself apart from a handful of B&Bs; a coffee shop attached to the Mintaro Maze, a lunch spot which I'm told is very good and the historic Magpie & Stump Hotel which, I gather, only does dinner Wednesday to Saturday. I mention this because... More

A great spot for a romantic weekend with a loved one, or a base from which to explore the Clare Valley wine region. Gorgeous, cottage-style accommodation, open fireplaces, spa baths and comfy furnishings.
