Stayed here for a couple of nights during the week - campground was quite empty which made it very peaceful - I imagine it is chockers during peak times. Amenities blocks very clean, staff very helpful also - I wanted to change my ferry departure time and that was no problem for them, they just rang it through for me.... More

It is the best camping ground in Australia to go with a dog, in my opinion one of the best outright. Now we like beach camping so you have to bring your own loo and the shower. We now go once a month as we like the way the Quandamooka people run the place, there is a laid back feel... More

With dunwich and point lookout only 10-15minutes away you have the best of both worlds. Stay on the most calming peaceful beach and relax under the trees, and if you want a break (don't expect to want to leave this place!) head to dunwich for the most amazing tea tree lake experience at brown lake or head to point lookout... I love Straddie. I have always stayed at Point Lookout - often camping at Cylinder. I decided to try the Amity Eco Cabins for a few days as with two female friends not keen on camping. What a fantastic spot - so quiet and peaceful right next to the sea. Sleeping with the sound of waves. Perfectly comfortable facility. I... More

We stayed two nights here while we did some beach driving. The 2 bdrm cabin is fine- we hae the one on the end nearest to the beach. Good kitchen and oven. It's a prefabricated place, but good for the beach. It was pretty quiet. I would definitely stay here again. Well priced really. Was clean and comfortable.

We stayed at adder rock ocamp site ARP01 and ARP02 last wknd and I have to say it was a disaster not only did we have backpackers drinking, swearing and partying all Night and waking our babies up but we tried to go to the reception the next day several times and no one was at the desk- we then... Stayed on a powered site for 5 nights at Home Beach during September school holidays. The best thing about the site is the direct path to the beach. Home Beach is not patrolled but it was perfect for our kids to 'wade about', run around in, and frolic. Also, it's only a 20 min easy beach walk to Cylinder, which... More

We stayed two nights at Adder Rock in an ensuite cabin for a wedding on the island. The perfect weather helped but the campground was great too! The cabin was clean, well set up and close to the beach. Would be perfect for a week stay and even with a kid or two. Great value for money glamping option.

Beautiful, peaceful camping, with excellent, clean facilities. Lots of friendly wildlife to see and very close to the beach. Good choice of campsites so that you can be right on the beachfront for beautiful views, or you can have a more sheltered site just a short walk from the beach.

The main selling point of Amity Campgrounds is the location, which is stunning. Grass and sand right next to the water, with some sites with a bit of shade from the trees. For nature lovers there's wildlife everywhere, we saw wild koalas, kangaroos, birds including an owl, small mouse like marsupials, and had an up close encounter with a dolphin.... More
