*American-esque dirty hook up motel-ers this is for you... Walking into the reception we asked for any accomodation, hoping to strike a deal (at 1900 hrs) having seen the place the cheapest on booking sites. We were quoted over $130 yet it showed $108 online- to which they matched. However .... This is a box with a bed, nothing more. The door to the 'bathroom' fell off the hinges when we first arrived and the TV is smaller than the microwave! The bathroom is grubby and to put it simply I paid similar to my stay in Sydney centre a mear 2 days ago to a nice 'basic' hotel. So, this is not worth your money. Unless of course you are into the above title. No judgement here.
The greeting from the front desk was courteous and helpful. We had booked a king room The room was depressingly small, it seemed tired and worn out. It was clean! The curtain was torn, the fly screen held together with bluetac, the mirror in the bathroom was missing but it was on the dinning table, there was a cobweb on the ceiling light, the towels seemed very worn, the reading lamp on the bed was missing a globe, the TV Remote won’t turn the TV on or off, but would change channels. The TV wasn’t tuned into any channels. The constant trucks passing through the roundabout during the night kept us awake
We stayed 2 nights on a driving holiday for our 20th wedding anniversary. The staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was incredibly comfy. The room was clean and quiet. Water pressure was great. The motel is located an easy walk to cafes and shops. We enjoyed our stay and will go back.
Apart from an AMAZINGLY Comfortable bed and even for a 2nd storey room, good water pressure and lots of hot water, we were Very Disappointed in the Room NO Smoke Detector NO Microwave NO Advice on arrival that the advertised Restaurant was not open/therefore no Breakfast available on site. Screen Sliding door onto the balcony DID NOT lock therefore we were unable to have any air flow and no security if the glass door was open
This motel was just what we wanted not too many people and quiet. The welcome was very good with a smile and some milk. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was good just off the main road but nice and quiet from the traffic noise.Would recommend to anyone. Good rates as well.
We stay in Eden regularly and decided to stay at the Halfway this time. The price was ok, the room looked nice and clean. The bathroom must be from the 70/80s and looks very well used. Broken tiles, scratched plastic mini hand basin and antiquated noisy toilets, it wouldn’t take much to spruce it up. The bed and pillows looked new. The bed was hard but fine to sleep in, I am just wondering of what material the pillows were made of, they were HARD! Pillows are cheap and can be replaced often. This business needs an energetic and hands on owner/manager. Business is hard but it’s not going to be better if you don’t do the right thing.
Just an overnight stop and it was ideal for me. Yeah, it's a bit old and the bathroom shows it, but the bed and the shower were good and everything was clean. A minor problem was sorted quickly and cheerfully. The wifi was a bit flakey but if you're reliant on wifi maybe you shouldn't leave home. I'll stay again.
We arrived late and there was no parking. Many cars were double parked which was annoying. With two young daughters and arriving late at night it was very inconvenient to have to park further away. The walls were thin so we could hear our neighbour snoring two nights. The room had an unpleasant musky smell. I’d been told the table and chairs would be removed so we could fit the portacot in but they were still there which left limited room. Room was very outdated but was fairly clean. There were however a few bugs on the floor. The inside of the fridge was a bit dirty and a couple of saucers were also dirty. Only one glass was provided (a wine glass) and there was no soap. If there was wifi there was no info about it in the room. Towels were thin and hard. Whilst towels were changed they didn’t empty the bins or clean the room. Note we did get soap and glasses when we asked for them. Pretty sure the cheap coffee sachets were off. Bed was hard and uncomfortable and pillows too soft. The sliding door to the bathroom was broken. The bottom was completely unattached. You could push it forward with one finger. This was dangerous with kids. There’s not much good to say about this place apart from the bed was clean. You get what you pay for. It wasn’t super cheap but was cheap for that time of year. Definitely only stay here if a single or a couple and you won’t be in the room for very long. …
Tiny room. Old amenities. Not sure how clean it was. Shower looked like it was from the 70's. Loud. Cramped. Uncomfortable. Advertised wifi didn't work which seems to be an ongoing issue from other reviews. I wouldn't stay here again. There's a level of , oh well it's cheap that's ok. But the room rate here isn't cheap at all and the room was awful. No Foxtel. The glasses were dirty. The bathroom sink and shower recess were dirty. Honestly, would not return.
Clean and comfortable but no breakfast on site (though good cafes nearby). Tiny TV. Very thin walls so loud talking neighbours kept us awake much of the night, but hard to blame the owners for this. Not bad overall.
