An old world feel to this homey B&B made our stay restful and yet full of adventure. The auberge is right off the salmon rich Dartmouth river and a short ride to the Forillon state park. An ideal spot. The innkeeper Lisa makes wonderful breakfasts and is a rich source of local information. Alas, the one imperfection is that the... More

We spent one night here and would have stayed longer if we had the time. We were welcomed with a warm greeting from Lisa. our accommodations were so comfortable and our homemade breakfast was delicious! She even gave us the recipe! Loved it here and enjoyed Lisa. A great place for an overnight or if you have a gang that... More

We stayed at l'Auberge du Saumonier as a part of a long weekend salmon fishing trip in mid-June. Upon arrival, Eli and Lisa immediately made my boyfriend and I feel like family! They were the kind and warm people you expect to meet when travelling to smaller towns in Québec. During the day, we had great fun fishing with Eli,... More

This Auberge is set up as a Lodge and not a typical BB. It is off the beaten track, difficult to find and about a 15 minute drive at best to the town of Gaspe. Once there you are greeted by Lisa the owner who is a very lively, assertive and also confrontational woman to say the least. The bedrooms... More

Unfortunately, this place turned out to be the worst - by far - of a fifteen-night vacation. We got lost trying to find it and when I called for directions I was berated by Lisa for doing so. When we checked in she complained that if I'd booked the room directly she wouldn't have had to pay the fee to... More

On our trip around the Gaspe Peninsula, we spent 1 night at the Auberge du Saumonier Lodge. The house is just beautiful. It is 100 years old and filled with the talents of its owners, Lisa and Eli. Besides being excellent hosts, Lisa is an artist in jewelry, stained glass and painting. Eli makes furniture. They love to chat and relate... More

Our stay with Lisa at Auberge du Saumonier Lodge in Gaspe was one of the highlights of our trip to Quebec!! The in itself is cozy and charming and Lisa's standed glass work fills the rooms--she's VERY talented!! Lisa goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable and a little hint: If you're looking for the... More
