Me and a friend stayed here for 2 nights to go to the National Park, which it’s very close to. The rooms are very basic but did fine. Beds were a bit hard and it’s a bit far from the train station but it was ok.
The hostel has an excellent location, very close to the park's entrance. The shared rooms are a bit small, but not much to worry about. During winter it gets really cold at night, we had a heater in the room, though it took a while for it to work properly in the end it was enough. The hostel does not offer food, but there are many good restaurants nearby. The staff was really kind, they try to help you the best they can, and they even give a map of the park.
Great location for the price. A few minutes walk to the Wulingyuan entrance and the bus station. Our private room was clean and we had hot water in the bathroom (chinese style toilet). At the reception desk you will receive vouchers for a delicious chinese breakfast for 15 yuan to get in a nearby restaurant. Very helpful staff. I recommend!
Location was ideal for visiting the Forest Park. The staff were very helpful and they gave a very informative map of the Park with English/Chinese names. Greatly appreciated! Our twin room was comfortable, very clean and with a western toilet. Airconditioner and wifi free and good. Please note that as a hostel they only provide a small towel. so bring your own towel and soap/toiletries. We had some difficulty locating it, so here is snapshot of their map to their hostel from the long distance bus station. Turn left from the bus station and at the cross roads, turn left and walk for about 10 minutes until you see a bridge over a small stream on your right. Cross the bridge and look for the hostel behind the front rows of shops.
This hostel offers double bed rooms as an option if you prefer. The shower and toilet were clean as were the bed sheets. There is AC and wifi also available in the rooms. Whilst there is no breakfast provided, the hostel have ties with a buffet literally 10 steps down. There is a large sign so you can't miss it. You can pay for the cheap value breakfast in the hostel or at the restaurant. This hostel is a 6 minute walk to one of the gates entering the Wulingyuan National Park. The view from the rooms was a construction site whilst I was there but they didn't start until around 7-7.30 am. The owners didn't speak much English however were very friendly and have free English maps of the park available if you ask. There is also a nice balcony to have a few cold drinks after a long day in the park.…
The location is good as it is 5mn from the gate of the park. The owner was very helpful and came out to get me as there are a lot of construction around and it is not easy to find. The dorms are really small, the shared bathroom was Ok with hot water. Wi-Fi worked. Beds are really hard, so I used the folded blanket to make it a little softer.
We stayed here in a dorm for two nights when we came to see the park. Rooms were simple but clean and nice. The hostel has a nice little front porch that we enjoyed sitting on in the evenings. The staff were also super nice and very helpful. The highlight of this hostel is its location- it's a roughly 8 minute walk to the park ticket office/entrance. It's also close to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!
I've been here during my 2 months in China. Perfect hostel for visiting the Zhangjiajie area. Cheap and good value. I've slept in a private room, which was very clean and it stayed this way as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good and cheap place to stay.
Unbeatable location for exploring Wulingyuan area of Zhangjiajie and the bailong/white dragon cave This hostel is only 10 mins walk away from the ticket office, which is invaluable if you plan to get up early to beat the crowd/tour groups going up the mountain (do plan to get up early, else regret having to queue for hours). Public Bus to the white dragon cave is also within short walk from hostel, pay for 2 rmb. Staffs speak fair amount of english though not perfect. They can help you plan out itinerary in the mountain area, you just need to ask. They are very friendly as well. Room - basic, rather small but decent and very good value for the price you paying for. Remember to bring or buy amenities. Plenty of restaurants and mini marts around the area to get supplies. They mostly open till midnight.…
Hostel is situated close to the Wulingyuan gate. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Bus from / to Zhangjiajie city stops not far away. Room was spacious and comfortable. Exceptional value for money. Staff speak a little English and are helpful. Written guide and map for the park provided when we checked in was useful. Wifi worked most of the time. Terrace is nice but the view from it is awful. Zhangjiajie / Wulingyuan Scenic Area is primarily a Chinese tourist destination so getting around is not so easy without some local language knowledge. Finding the hostel was a bit tricky, they really need to provide a detailed map of the town and their exact location, which is not on the main street.
