Stayed one night during a last-minute trip to the OBX for kiting. While I only had water and electricity, I had a great view and the price was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Pam.

Nice clean park with friendly host and friendly owner. Location is on the sound, excellent sunsets. Park personal are laid back just like the island lifestyle. Many places to visit within short distance.

Always a great place to stay and love our spot overlooking the sound, great sunsets, great staff, and very affordable. Some areas could stand to be cleaned up some, but won't detract us from returning.

Pam Law, St. Clair Landing’s camp manager, is the friendliest, fairest and most generous camp manager we’ve ever met. She goes out of her way to ensure every guest has comfortable stay and accommodations. She cares genuinely about all her guests and is attentive to their needs and circumstances. The campground has a fishing pier and a lovely view of the sunset every night.

If you just want a cheap place to camp it’s great. However there’s frequently yelling and hammering late at night and in early morning. Biggest issue is it floods when storm season hits. Sites are small but if you are only there for a weekend it’ll do.

We stayed 10 days and had such a wonderful experience. The bathrooms were always clean and they had wonderful outside shower for after the beach rinse off!!! The place was quiet and quaint and beach jetty was a great perfect place for us to watch the sunset in solitude and walk our dogs. Pam was such a pleasant soul and we look forward to returning again. This was our first time to OBX and it won't be our last. We also did some kiteboarding next door with Hattaras Sail Shop which was an easy walk. THANK YOU AGAIN ST CLAIRE FOR MAKING OUR VACATION A WONDERFUL MEMORY!!!!

This was our first time camping on OBX with RV. Booked this campground online after checking out numerous others both in Rodanthe and other locations and we were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back! This site is much smaller than the two main ones in Rodanthe which BTW were more like camping in a huge suburban subdivision. There are even trees! Prior to coming, I saw several reviews critical of the staff and management. We experienced only friendly professional service. When we checked in the manager even told us we could choose any of the sites that were open. The one we chose was just off the shore of the bay. Which presented us with fabulous sunsets. When we go back to OBX, this is where we hope to be able to book again.

My husband and I have stayed in the OBX region for about a dozen times. This is our first stay in our RV with my FIL and our pups. So glad we found it... Ms. Pam, who owns the campground, is an amazing host. I was desperate for a RV spot on Friday of the Labor Day weekend and she was available to accommodate us (I had called 20+ other campgrounds and got SUPER LUCKY with her grounds). I thought we'd just stay through the long weekend, but after seeing the spot (located in the OBX, right off the sound, with its own beach access, and a short walk to the Atlantic) we asked if we could stay another week+. Luckily she was able to accommodated us! And our dogs! She even has a doggie grass area complete with potty-bags, and doesn't charge you extra for your furry friends. The speed limit is 5mph so you don't have to worry about your kiddos or pups being "left in the dust" or dealing with obnoxious drivers while they're playing/being walked. You can find the owner (Pam) riding her bicycle throughout the campground at all hours of the day or night if she's not in her office. The campground is more of a family setting... we met our "next door neighbors" in a matter of minutes. Everyone is incredibly friendly. She offers a men and women's bathhouse, laundry on site, free wifi, AND an outdoor shower to hose off after you visit the beaches. There is a picnic table, 30 amp/select 50 amp hookups with water and sewer for your RV. The folks in tents seem very happy as well. I'm not going to post the rates as they may fluctuate, but I can promise you they're lower than the other campgrounds you'll find anywhere else in the area (remember, I called over 2 dozen other sites). There's a dollar store just a few miles south of the campground. And a kayak/beach toy rental is just a few steps from the grounds. The sound access allows you fishing, swimming, sunbathing, kayaking- pretty much any water sport or activity you could think of. There are TONS of restaurants in the area, as well as the regular grocery, souvenir and RV necessity spot just North. If you have a couple minutes, Ms. Pam is a lovely lady to chat with. She obviously can let you know where to find anything you're looking for. She also is just incredibly friendly, and you might find yourself chatting away with her for several minutes. SOOOOOO..... if you're looking for a family-friendly, dog-friendly, people-friendly campground with very reasonable rates, that is incredibly clean and well-kept, I suggest you give her a call. I know this sounds like a padded review- so check out my other reviews from all over NY State and PA... I'm legit, LOL.

This place is paradise! Beautiful sunsets on Pamlico Sound every night. Great kiteboarding on the sound and good fishing too. The ocean is across the street, walking distance. The campground has a relaxed feel and everyone is happy to be here. The manager, Pam, is wonderful. She is very accommodating, professional and a great park manager.
