My party of three motorcyclists stayed in Chilhowee 2 cabin for 3 nights. The cabin is like a two bedroom hotel room that shares a common wall with an adjacent duplex-type unit. No kitchen or common area. That being the case ... the cabin is super nice in every way. Jasper's fine dining exists no longer. The downstairs bar &...

Took the Twins to Tapoco Lodge Grill. Once again, an excellent meal. Wonderful service from Heidi, from nearby Snowbird community. Had chicken wrap, chicken salad sandwich, and grilled cheese, along with monster chips and wonderful sweet potato fries. Can't imagine it gettin' any better than this. Can't wait to go back.

My Fiance and I went this past weekend to go to a Subaru Event located on the grounds of another local lodge. We looked at the pictures online and decided we would give it a shot. We came in during the night at around 9:30 local time. The nicest lady at the front desk was awesome and super amazing helpful,...

We were visiting the area and wanted to have lunch. Did a quick search online and came across the Tapoco River Grill. We were vary pleased and the scenery is fantastic. Having lunch outside listening to the river rush on by was very relaxing and the burgers hit the spot. Will have to stop by again or just plan to...

Our decision to visit the lodge was last minute and based on the Trip Advisor reviews. It is as wonderful as all the reviewers say. We stayed in the Laurel Room, in the main lodge. It is billed as a "mini-suite". The room was immaculate and beautiful and the bathroom was gorgeous and looked like it had just been impeccably...

Nothing bad to say, great food, beautiful restoration. Very welcoming. Excellent living history. The river is wonderful and sitting by fire in the evening is relaxing. Wait staff was attentive. The trails are pretty and nice for after dinner walk.

Historic Tapoca used to be an elusive place with closed gates- it was a private facility. But now, all that has changed and we can all enjoy this wonderful addition to the US 129/tail of the Dragon area. The staff are most accommodating- I didn't have a fridge in my room- Santeetlah 1- they sourced one in 15 minutes. You...

Went for some brews and lunch. Sat outside on the veranda with the tall chairs and tables. Watched a group of kayakers taking on the white waters. Great service, food and beer. Nothing better after a hike up in the National Park. Easy to find and Easy to love.

You can ask about your pups staying too, and the answer is yes!!! Our room was so nice, small but nice. Our shower wasn't so great, the shower curtain kept blowing in. However, the room had a lovely front porch that overlooks the Cheoah River. We were there during a water release and the river was full of kayakers and...

I've spent the last 20 years traveling the area for outdoor sports and this is such a great addition. Perfect location for kayaking, mountain biking, fly fishing, or the Smokies. The lodge was pretty much perfect in every way. Great rooms, friendly staff, and good food. This weekend was mine and my wife's first trip away with our 9 week...
