My husband and I just spent our anniversary at Snowbird on Sunday night (April 26) and wished we could have spent the whole weekend there. We chose the Silverbell room in Chestnut Lodge, which is pricier than the main lodge, but we absolutely loved the deck and hot tub. Our view looking out over the mountaintops was priceless. Our 2nd...

This log-contruction but luxurious lodge is a unique destination in a rather remote part of the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Trails, lakes, and scenic views all around. Excellent chef with all meals included. Weeklong events in the pre-season are added attractions.

My wife and I spent a couple of nights (April 22 and 23, 2015) at the Snowbird. The food is wonderful and the service was attentive. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and they were knowledgeable about wildflowers and birding and which hikes to take to see both.

This was another thoroughly enjoyable visit to Snowbird. We were greeted by a smiling face at the reception desk, assistance in settling into our room and continual concern for our comfort throughout our visit. The rooms are comfortable with many amenities--not so large in the main lodge, but very spacious in Chestnut lodge. The food is wonderful and creative. The...

We visit in the Spring and Fall and have been coming since 1990. The food is excellent and accommodations are superb. This is our favorite getaway spot. It just keeps getting better!! Even the rainy days are enjoyable sitting by the fire and reading a good book.

We are only two hours away from Snowbird, but it feels like a whole other world each time we arrive! Peace, tranquility, beauty, nature, relaxation . . . these are some of the descriptors I would use to describe this little bit of heaven on earth. We enjoyed our 4th or 5th trip to Snowbird this past week-end, and it...

We were in Asheville for business and a friend had told me of this wonderful place to stay “just west of Asheville” - Snowbird Mountain Lodge. We decided to make reservations at the last minute. “Just west of Asheville” turned out to be 100 miles- almost to the Tennessee line! But it was more than worth the extra time it...

Snowbird Lodge is rustic with all the amenities you could want served by people, including Richard Rankin the owner and manager, who see their goal as making life easy for you so you can enjoy the mountains, hiking, reading and, of course, a fine meal. The rooms are commodious and well appointed with coffee, tea, a small fridge and VIEWS...

We stayed for a weekend at the end of March for our 20th anniversary. There was some snow, but it was pretty warm during the day. Lots of hiking nearby and even on the property. I am not a couch potato, but I do wish there was a TV in the room (it helps me fall asleep). There are so...

Wonderful couple getaway destination. If you want to relax AND eat and drink like a King & Queen this is the place. Old hunting lodge that has been renovated to 21 cenury standards but with the appeal of the 1940's.
