Not a lot of choices on Ocracoke Island, aside from the Nat'l Park. Teeter's has water and electric, multiple outdoor showers (my preference) and a couple nice indoor showers too. The campground is within walking distance to everything to see on the island. That's usually not important to me, but unless you bring a golf cart or bike, this area...

This campground has full hookups and also just water and electric. Either way it's a great campground to stay at. The owner did a wonderful job accommodating us. It's right in the village, everything is within walking distance. You can choose to ride a bike or even rent a golf car. We had a great time and definitely will be...

We just showed up to the island with No Reservations in our camper they had a site for us it was in the middle of everything right downtown walking distance to restaurants and attractions the owner's were friendly and helpful the sites were close but that's to be expected in the middle of a little island and we were glad...

Its not a Campground with some Permanents, its a Trailer Park with some temporary sites. Decks and barbecue grills built-in. Yes, there is a clean bathroom. But we saw sewage coming out of pipes. The sewer pipes are ABOVE GROUND PVC pipe on bricks. This place is sad, and needs serious attention. Water standing in driveways. Owner is kind, but...

Sorry that you had a negative experience. At the time of your stay we along with the rest of the Outer Banks had a record amount of rainfall in a 10 day period. The sewer issue was due to a pipe that had been tampered with and loosened. That has since been fixed and doesn't remain an issue. Again sorry...

Teeters Campground is the best value on Ocracoke. In this time is rising prices, Teeters has stayed within mainland prices. The campground is neat and tidy and the owners go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. So glad we consulted Trip Advisor and decided on Teeters. The campground is within a couple of blocks of most restaurants...

Great campground!! Close to all the restaurants. Showers very clean. Owners very friendly. Located right across from a cute little store and ice cream shop. Best butter pecan ice cream I have ever had.

Teeter's is a great little, family-owned, campground in the heart of Ocracoke. Bubby is relaxed and friendly, and exemplifies the Ocracoke people. I tent camp there every October, and walk into town for a meal, beer, ice cream, etc. Hey, it's October again - time to go to Teeter's again.

Was planning to pass through Ocracoke, hit the Hatteras ferry, and camp (RV) on Hatteras Island somewhere. Found out on the ferry ride over (from Swan Quarter) that Highway 12 was closed due to flooding (heavy rains), and the Hatteras ferry was shut down! Owner was super nice and offered us a spot spur-of-the-moment. Heavy, heavy rains had the place...

We pulled in after the last Swan Quarter ferry and were able to get a last minute site off season at about 7:30 Nice owner, very friendly and helpful. Willing to take a personal check and provided a great connection wi-fi. Had a Pull through for my 31 foot RV. Local folks had good things to say about the owner...

I made reservations at Teeter's for a place to stay during a three day fishing trip with a fishing buddy of mine. It was perfect. Campers with children may not be totally happy since there is not much there for children to do, but if you are looking for a nice, quiet campground in the middle of a historic village...
