We went on a road trip and planned a stop at New Bern. Based on the reviews I choose the Aerie B&B. We arrived late, around midnight, and rang the bell to check in, to our surprise the person that opened the door Jeff, was mad and treated us like we were disturbing him. He had le

Veronica, I'm sorry you were not happy with your check in. We aim to provide a wonderful experience to all our guests and you caught our manager off guard, waking him up at midnight. We are a small inn and don't have a night staff like large hotels. We ask guests to provide us with their approximate check in times and because we rise early to prepare a fresh breakfast for our guests, we can't be available at midnight to personally check in guests. We provided very detailed instructions several days before your arrival - instructions on how to get in, directions to your room and all the necessary information you might need to know. I'm sorry you didn't have an opportunity to review those ahead of time. We would have been happy to answer any questions and make sure your arrival was pleasant. We hope the rest of your stay and your time in New Bern was pleasant.

My now husband and I had our honeymoon here. The town is beautiful, the people are lovely, but our room was a dream. We stayed in the hidden room which is located away from the rest of the home. The bathroom was spacious. The sheets are literally the softest sheets I have ever sl

The room was great and the hospitality. When I arrived I was warmly greated by Gail. She showed me my room the Tuscarora. Everything looked just like it did in the photos. The location was perfect, everything was in walking distance.

Who do you recommend for sea food.
We have several excellent dining opportunities with great seafood and all within a short walk of our B&B. You can look them up through the links on our website or through TripAdvisor. May we suggest: MJ's Raw Bar & Grill, Persimmons, The Stingray Cafe, and The Chelsea. Hope this helps. Are you staying with us? If so we have menus here for all of the restaurants and are happy to help you decide on the type of dining and we can make reservations for our guests. Michael & Marty The Aerie B&B

Are you pet friendly?
Hi, Orientinn, Lorri A is correct, we do not allow pets, but can make recommendations for nearby pet spas and kennels. Downtown New Bern is very pet friendly! Let us know if you have any more questions!
