I had already been working in Mount AIry for 16 years, but I wanted to stay at a B and B so I could stay overnite and work in Cana and Galax, nearby towns. The rooms are fantastic and it is a wonderful environment close to downtown Mount Airy. My wife was able to stay one night with me to...

My girlfriend and I recently traveled to NC to tour the local wine country. I selected Sobotta Manor on a whim and boy were we impressed! Robin greeted us with the dogs when we arrived and we spent the day in their personal limo visiting area wineries. J.R. was the perfect tour guide and he seemed to know all of...

I recently stayed at Sobotta Manor, and enjoyed everything about it, from the hosts to the breakfasts, to the beautifully maintained house and gardens. It's only a couple of blocks from the downtown, with shops and other attractions, including the Andy Griffith Museum, which is two minutes walk from the Manor. I plan to stay here again when I re-visit...

Visting my daughter in VA and decided to make a weekend trip to visit some wineries. My daughter had never been to a B&B so I wanted to make sure her first time at a B&B was a positive experience and it certainly was. She was a little concerned when I told her I made reservations at a B&B but...

Absolutely beautiful, impeccable home with extra amenities. The bedrooms are handsomely furnished and extremely comfortable. Dvd player in each room with a great selection of movies. Gardens out back are really something to see. Breakfast was delightful, formal, and delicious. Highly recommend.

We came to Mt. Airy with no reservations asnd they were kind enough to let us stay for the one night . We relaxed and watched Andy Griffith DVDs and had a gourmet breakfast the next morning. Will definitely return someday soon.

Oour second year to stay at the Sobotta Inn during the BMW Club's "Vintage at the Vineyard." We wern't disappointed! Charming English Tudor with fantastic woodwork (ask your hosts to tell you the story about the interior woodwork and cabinetry), beautiful furnishings and modern amenities. Robin's breakfasts were fantastic--didn't even want to think about eating the rest of the day!...

We had a wonderful time. The home is spectacular with all original woodwork and nooks and crannies that depict a prosperous home. Our room was lovely and the bed was dreammy. Breakfast was amazing and so tastefully presented! Our hosts were delightful and readily shared information about the home and the area. We even had live classical music to enjoy...

Thank you for your wonderful comments. We were so happy to meet you and to have you as our guest, and we also enjoyed that great music. I must admit, we do not regularly have music; it was a treat for us as well. We are so happy you took the time to review our slice of “Mayberry” and our...

This was our first time staying at a B&B and we absolutely loved it. My husband and I recently took a trip to the Bahamas to get away and it turned into a nightmare. So the weekend we spent at Sobotta was our vacation from our vacation. It was beautiful, restful, and Junior and Robin were very hospitable. It was...
