This motel was adequate to meet the need of a nights lodging, but I would not return. The room was clean and adequately sized, but had a low ceiling. The bathroom sink was in a tiny area outside the bathroom and looked like a small bar sink. With the towel rack on the front of the sink, it was very... More

The room where we stayed was built in 1956. It was clean and had an old time feel to it. It had a dresser, chair table with lamp, and a queen sized bed along with a flat screen tv. the only trouble we had was with the shower curtain. It kind of liked to hug us when we were showering.

Such a wonderful place. The owners are so nice and helpful. Tammy has the most pleasing personality. The rooms are very clean. It has a great pool as well. I highly recommend the Clarkton for your next visit.

My family and I spent a wonderful night in this little motel. We do quite a bit of traveling and we've spent time in 3 and 4 star hotels that weren't as clean and comfortable. It's a very unassuming little motel with very friendly local owners and we'd definitely recommend it to others and we'll stay there again.

I will be honest - my first impression when I arrived here was along the lines of, "What have I done? This place looks like a dump!". BUT it is NOT a dump. It is actually an excellent, friendly, clean Motel with nice and friendly staff and a lovely little swimming pool as well. It is well located - there... More

Was not disappointed with the reviews of this place. Yes it is older but it is clean and well kept. This is a no frills motel but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Did not try the pool but tested the water. The water was comfortable and despite the fact that it was small it got as deep... More

This very quaint clean Motel caters mostly to the biker community due to its location near the Blue Ridge Parkway. During peak season at night people get to know each other by the fire, sharing their food and their stories, making lasting friendships. The owners, Tammy and Philip are welcoming and gracious, Phil ( a biker as well) will go... More
