One of the only pet friendly motels. The owner/managers do everything themselves. They want to give you the best for your money. The rooms are spotless and well furnished. We had a cabin on the stream. Opened the windows at night and slept with the babbling brook sound (very relaxing). Has a/c, heat, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, walk in...

Alamo Motel and Cottages are hosted by a very friendly couple, Mike and Dawn, who are very attentive to your needs. The room we stayed in for three nights was sparkling clean and comfortable. Likewise, the grounds are immaculate and delightful flowers grow everywhere. The bed was lovely, better than ours at home. They build a campfire at night for guests...

I only stayed one night, but Mike and Dawn went above and beyond to make my stay great. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Forget the chain hotels, stay at this gem in Maggie Valley. I know I'll return.

We stayed at the Alamo in one of the cottages for a week. We rode in on our motorcycles with a group. We were greeted by Dawn & Mike immediately. They accommodated all of our needs. In fact, they became part of our extended family. They are probably the hardest working property owners I've ever seen. Rooms were clean &...
