The moment we arrived we were greeted by Wendy who was an exceptional manager. The rooms and lodge, while older, were well kept and clean. Our 2 queen beds lodge room #8 was a good size for us and our two kids. Satellite TV, jetted tub, and a nice porch to sit outside and watch those passing by. The breakfast... More

every now and then we are able to get away for a while...travelling the Blue Ridge Parkway north from Cherokee North Carolina. I can't tell you just how delighted I am to have found this place....rustic, clean and inviting! the owners and general manager went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We were in room #1 and in... More

We found the Linville Lodge by web surfing for stops along our Blue Ridge Parkway road trip. We were very pleased! We stayed in room 3 of the "lodge". The charming room is small but warm and cozy -- wood floors, walls and ceiling. The fixtures and decorations were all quite tasteful. The bed was very comfy. The outside grounds... More

The place is made of fieldstone. Each room opens to the outside. Quite rustic, which we liked but the room was very tight. It had a king size bed with nearly enough room to walk around. The bathroom should win a design award for getting a sink, toilet, and shower in such a small space.

What a wonderful place! During a recent motorcycle trip along the Parkway, four of us stopped here overnight to have a chance to hike to the falls and see the stunning views there. We had a handful of incidents while staying at the Lodge, none of which the proprietors were responsible for, but all of which the staff selflessly assisted... More

We found this place as we exited the Blue Ridge Parkway on a very cloudy day which made driving conditions very dangerous. Here we not only found a safe haven but unexpected comfort and a welcoming staff. We were treated as if we were friends and invited to a lovely evening by the fire pit. The room was like a... More

We stayed in the Lodge for two nights. Even though the lodge was full, we did not encounter any noise except the occasional arriving car driving on the gravel. The King room we stayed in was small but comfortable and very clean. The bed was comfortable. We came to the area to hike the Linville Gorge, and this lodge is... More

We called to make a reservation and the lady who answered the phone, Wendy was awesome from that point forward. From getting us reserved in one of the newly renovated cabins to making sure we had a grill to cook on all weekend! This cabin was as good as it gets. Everything is new but with a rustic mountain feel... More

This was one of our stop-overs during a trek on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We could not have been more satisfied. We stayed in the "lodge" portion, which is similar to individual hotel rooms, all opening to a common outdoor porch outfitted with big wooden chairs for outdoor sitting. The room was very "cabin style" cozy and welcoming. The bathroom... More

We just rented the Manor House at Linville Falls Lodge & Cottages for a girl's mountain weekend. I've planned similar events in previous years and we always ended up with a group of rooms at a hotel or lodge since most houses require a weeklong reservation. Not so at Linville Falls Lodge & Cottages. We were able to rent the... More
