The resort and lake are beautiful. We enjoyed the pizzeria as well. Indoor pool is nice but not spectacular and closes at 7:30. Other services at the wellness center are not available for children under 16 and we were traveling with two.

Walking in, it's been updated (not bathrooms) but very clean. Everything we need was in this tri level townhouse. Though no snow it was still very beautiful! So quite. Lake actives were pretty much all closed. Travel to many little towns all around. Already on...More

You can go to the Rumbling Bald web site to find a list of prices for renting the equipment. There is a charge for renting kayaks, canoes, and pontoon boats. You can bring your own kayak. There are 2 lakes...Lake Lure is the larger lake and Bald Mountain Lake is the smaller lake. Both are great for kayaking but Bald Mountain Lake is quieter (they do not allow motor vehicles on this small lake). Enjoy your stay!
