To be honest, there's not a lot going on in the outer banks in Febraury- except construction and repairs. Most shops and restaurants were closed . There were a lot of renovations going on at the resort. And it was very cold and windy walking...More
We stayed on the top floor ("PH"..Pent House) overlooking the ocean and found both the outside view and inside to be very pleasing. Though our stay was in December we found the area to offer many rewarding charms such as quaint shops, sand-dunes and the...More

Walking on the beach is very nice during the fall months. The condos are located right on the beach and there are steps leading right onto the beach. There are stores to shop, movies to go to and lots of eatery places to dine or take out and relax back at the condo. The indoor pool is lovely as well. Enjoy your fall stay!

There are high dunes between the buildings and the beach. Consequently, you have to go over them. You can get to the walkway over the dunes via elevator; the walkway also goes to a small pavilion from which you can view the beach. But to get onto the beach itself you have to go down the stairs from the dune (maybe 8), unfortunately.
There is a public beach access between OBBC complexes I and II; maybe there is direct access there; I don't know.
Other than the beach itself, all units now have elevator access. If you get a third floor oceanfront 3 BR unit, or a 2nd or 3rd floor oceanfront 2 BR unit, you have a superb view from the unit's deck, if that's any consolation. It really is a very nice complex, and the 3 BRs are extremely spacious.
