To me, indoor corridors are a must. Being a woman, I prefer them for security, peace and quite. This inn is immaculate. Updated and fresh. Our king room is spacious. The bathroom is cleaner than mine at home. Very quiet. The staff very friendly. The manager is EVERYWHERE. I dont know how he does it. He just magically appears! There is a pre covid hot breakfast buffet. What a welcomed site! The lounge has been configured for distancing. Face masks are worn. The price for the room is much less than other similar chains. We chose this property because they are human and pet friendly. This busy exit offers many hotel choices, but us, this Choice Hotel was the rite choice for us.
TLDR: don't stay here. Spend the extra $30 bucks for something better, or just keep driving to a different town. My husband and I booked this hotel last minute after a days worth of driving. We were just looking for a place to crash for the night. We've stayed at many quality inn's before and never had any problems before. At least nothing on this scale. The lobby looked decent and the front desk associate was very nice. But the second we got to our floor, you're hit with the intense smell of cigarettes! Luckily, our room was located at the end of the hall and it wasn't that intense down there. Our room itself had a light scent of cigarettes, but you could tell it was covered with the smell of air fresheners. Everything was pretty trashed in the room as you can see from the pictures. But surprisingly the bed was clean and comfortable despite the look of the rest of the room. Personally, I think the entire hotel should be renovated. It seems like they've tried in the past but only completed half of it. The desk and the cabinets seemed 'newer' but a lot of it just seemed old and run down. And clearly a maintenance crew doesn't exist at this hotel or they just prefer to do half assed repair jobs. I gave it two stars because the bed looked clean & was comfortable, we were only there for maybe 10 hours, and the staff was nice. But everything else ... ? Negative stars.…
First let me start by saying we had been driving all day and just wanted a bed and hot shower. I reserved a double queen room which turned out to be a double twin xl room. It turned out to be an accessible room which would have been fine until I went to take a shower the next morning and realized there was no shower head but rather a shower wand With very little water pressure. I did alert the woman at the desk and she thanked me for the feedback and said they would look into it. Because of Covid the breakfast buffet consisted of some hand wrapped muffins and coffee ( should have posted a temporary edit to website like other hotels have) and you must have a mask (again not upset just letting people know they require it) The hotel was clean looked like it was newly remodeled and Sunny the front desk clerk was very pleasant, not the easiest to find as there is no signage for it off the main road and it is behind another hotel. I would consider it again in a pinch but no if I was going to be staying any length of time in the area.…
I was fortunate enough to speak directly to the manager, Mr. DeWalt, when I called to confirm that the pet policy included my Dalmatian & not just small dogs. He was so accommodating. We arrived late & tired after driving all day & being rerouted around an accident. Nikki, the front desk clerk, was so welcoming! Her smile & her warmth were a breath of fresh air & balm for our weary souls. She was spot on with the recommendation for a local Chinese food delivery. Quality Inn has a gem in her. When I initially spoke to the manager, Mr. DeWalt told me that the property was being renovated. It’s a work in progress. We had a ground floor room with laminate flooring. It was very modern. The flat screen TV was easily viewed from the very comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom had been upgraded. I didn’t care for the sink faucet; it’s farmhouse design spilling into a shallow basin caused too much splashing. The water pressure in the shower was great. The biggest problem was the acoustics. The walls were bare but I expect that will be remedied. With the laminate flooring there was little to absorb sound. Our voices echoed throughout the room. Although we could not hear any other guests, I feared we were disturbing others. This was particularly true in the morning when our dog heard others moving about & began barking. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Florida. Maybe next time the pandemic will be over & we’ll get to experience more of what Exit49 & Fayetteville have to offer. There isn’t much in the immediate area.…
I normally don't leave negative reviews, but the stay here was just bad. We booked 2 nights but only stayed for one. The room was musty and humid. There was rust on things throughout the bathroom. Since the floor was linoleum, it felt wet from all the humidity. All of the lamps were uncomfortably bright (like 100 watt bulbs). When we checked out the gentleman behind the desk asked how he could help, but the hotel is in desperate need of renovations. The only good thing was the shower head water pressure to get clean.
