Nice, quiet hotel off highway but not too far. Did not hear any hallway noise that sometimes cause dog to bark.
Breakfast was the usual fare, but ok.
We ate dinner at a nearby fast food place, but there were other places to choose from.

Room was clean so wad the bedding overall good place. Bed was comfy tv good size. Wife told me to mention no ledge in shower to shave legs. Good place to eat next door. Close to highway. Staff friendly.

Lake Norman is huge; I believe you might be able to rent boats, go on guided lake tours, swim, etc. There's a big state park adjacent to it for hiking. Best to contact the hotel or Google Lake Norman to see what you find. Many very good restaurants less than 10 minutes away in the "new town" kind of developments. Davidson is a cute old college town, and Charlotte is a short drive to the south.
