From the moment I arrived they took great care of me. Check in wasn't until 3 pm. However my flight arrived early a.m. and I checked with the front desk at 9 a.m. They said that they'd let me know as soon as my room became available, and they would get me from the lobby. By 11 a.m. My room...

What a find! The staff is knowledgable and helpful. The rooms are very nice and the bathrooms are a special treat! Old time grandeur. You cannot find a better location. Central to restaurants and museums. A fun bar and bartender right in the lobby!

I stayed at the Dunhill for several days while in town for a national conference and really enjoyed my stay. All the front desk staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Although about 7 blocks from the convention center the hotel offers a very historic and unique shuttle for it's guests. The drivers are very friendly and make you feel welcome....

Very nicely appointed small room. Cleanliness and quality of the furnishings and amenities were outstanding. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful - particularly the bartender. Enjoyed the eclectic crowd and lively atmosphere in the lobby bar. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Charlotte.

Charlotte is a "happening" town. We came for a wedding and it was suggested we stay at the Dunhill Hotel. It is an historic boutique hotel. The bedrooms are not huge, but the antique armoire that you hang you clothes in is beautiful. The emenities in your bathroom and the housekeeping service are perfect. I was in my room when...

We stayed at The Dunhill for our anniversary weekend. Recommended to us by a friend, this hotel lived up to the recent reviews I found here at tripadvisor. The staff members were friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and clean and our bed was very comfortable. We would be happy to stay here again. And, we will be recommending...

Upon checking in to the Dunhill I immediately felt like I had experienced time travel. The hotel has a definite historical charm to it with all of the convenience of a modern hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and extremely helpful including at check-in, throughout the stay, and at check-out. The rooms are smaller and definitely have a...

Very attentive service, complimentary sodas and water in the mini-fridge, convenient to many bars and restaurants. Complimentary car service to local attractions from their antique cab. Clean, comfortable rooms. Walls a little thin and location is on main roads so plenty of traffic noise. Great bar off lobby -- Pete the bartender is the best. The front desk raved about...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Decades before The Dunhill Hotel would open, local architect Louis Asbury Sr. was entranced by the great Italian craftsmen who created cathedrals famous for their soaring, elegant roof lines. Today, The Dunhill Hotel stands distinct on the Charlotte skyline, an amalgam of American, British, and Italian influences, something those with an eye for period detail can detect. Opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor apartment hotel, with half of its original 100 rooms permanent residences, today's Dunhill Hotel is a thoughtful evolution. A full restoration was recently completed, and various on-going aesthetic improvements all share a common goal--to celebrate the original vision of Mr. Asbury, with a nod to the needs of the modern traveler. ... more   less
