Have stayed here a number of times. This hotel never disappoints. The staff and mgmt are always very accommodating, but go out of their way for Carolina graduation weekend by making the whole experience truly exceptional. Near to some terrific Chapel Hill restaurants and a short walk to campus.

The Franklin is my favorite place to stay in Chapel Hill. Super conveniently located on Franklin Street where you can walk to many different restaurants, close to UNC and UNC hospital. Just a delightful environment. Rooms are very nicely appointed, staff is very helpful and the breakfasts are very well done. If you want a good experience in Chapel Hill,...

lesley h, I'm glad to hear that the recent summer heat didn't deter you from enjoying your balcony overlooking Franklin St. We are always eager to hear the word "love" used by our guests when describing their experience at The Franklin. Glad that you had that feeling. Come back this fall and the balcony will be even more pleasant! Jay

The Franklin is a gorgeous hotel, inside and out, with a professional staff that is eager to help and always offered a smile. The rooms are exquisite and designed as traditional with a modern flame that felt new and fresh. Breakfast offered plenty of selection and was freshly made with care. All around delightful I highly recommend. Nothing bad to...

Located on Franklin Street, in the heart of Chapel Hill, the Franklin Hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants, with just enough "college life" from the adjacent University of North Carolina to keep things hopping. The hotel is quaint and inviting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar is classy and relaxing. The breakfast restaurant is tasty. And the...

We will be traveling to Chapel Hill regularly for the next two years, and we wanted to find a hotel that is well-appointed, comfortable, conveniently-located, and well-managed. The Franklin Hotel is it. We love the location, the management is helpful and friendly, and the room is everything we need. The ONLY complaint I have is that there was no nightstand...

glencoewanderer, We will be glad to serve as you hotel of choice on your future visits to Chapel Hill. Our location is unbeatable for downtown, and it's hard to argue with Hilton points! Sorry for the inconvenience of not having a bedside lamp. Not all of our rooms have one on both sides. On your next visit, please let us...

Hello Fiveomom7945! Thanks for your detailed review of The Franklin. I'm sorry the A/C in the first room was not working well enough - we've had a tough time keeping up with the 100+ degree heat! But I am glad you got a chance to enjoy our suite, and am especially glad that we found Mack and were able to...

A very comfortable hotel where you can receive five star treatment without the price which is located in the heart of the down town Chapel Hill and right next to campus. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat.

My husband and I spent 5 days at the Franklin Hotel. We were in Chapel Hill to help our daughter move there and settle in.
