This is a 1960's type motel - park in front of your room. Buxton is limited on lodging options but several excellent restaurants nearby. Owner on site, check in easy. We had a non-pet room with King bed and a full bed. Very spacious. Our room was around the side where they have 5 rooms on main floor and 5 upstairs. Parking is off side street but they don't have 10 spots. No breakfast here - you'll have to go out for breakfast. A good place for an overnight coming from Morehead City across two ferries to get to Hatteras.

We were last minute for reservations as we had a family member pass however the staff/owners here were amazing! Our rooms were clean. The hospitality superb. The owners son helped us out with a lost dog as we were afraid “spike” may get hit in the road. Very family oriented motel! Clean pool. Great ice. Convenient to grocery stores and other shopping desires/needs. After coming to the outer banks for 50 plus years, I’ve lost that quaint feeling for a while until this trip! Thank you cape pines!

Decent location, close to market and national park. Pool adequate but closes at 9pm. Rooms are spartan and beds need upgrade for price of rooms. Minimal services available, did not get room serviced in two days. Bathrooms are tight with shower curtain on you when showering. Staff very nice. Rooms are loud if on lower floor.

My husband and I stayed in the King Deluxe room for five nights. We were very pleased with the room; everything was spotless. The bed and bedding were very nice; in fact, I asked where they purchased the blanket because I would like to have one for my own bed. The Manager, Dipta, her son Viraj, and Carol, the desk clerk were all very friendly and helpful with anything that we inquired about. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Super clean and quaint motor lodge with great location. We got an efficiency with a king bed which was comfy. We brought our little puppy with us and everything was super nice and cozy. Staff is very pleasant to communicate with. Nice clean pool with a little gas BBQ grill to use if you need it. Great grocery store across the street (Conner's) with excellent selection of whatever you may need.

It was hard to find a reasonably priced motel on the Outer Banks but Cape Pines has a decent price. Our room was very clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The man at the front desk was helpful and friendly.

Always a great stay at the Cape Pines! It’s not fancy but it’s clean, has cold A/C, comfy beds, and the rooms are spacious. The staff are always ready to meet any needs or requests you have. Perfect location! Walk across the street to Conners for any grocery needs and lots of great restaurants just down the street!

This is an extraordinary motel. It may appear in pictures to be fairly standard, but it is special. The owners are loving, cheerful people who look for little ways to dote on their guests. And the rooms are clean and classic. There's a grocery store just across the street. There's are two fabulous breakfast joints (the Orange Blossom and Diamond Shoals) a minute or two away by car. And best of all, your fellow hotel guests are really friendly. It's just one of those hotels that feels really special, and when you meet your neighbors, it's like everybody knows how special the place is and shares the good vibes. Oh, and it's dog-friendly, too. Great little area out back to run the dogs in, and there's a nice quiet side street next to the hotel if you want a slightly longer walk. Last thing: The Parking is easy. I go with my trailer every year, and I never have problems.

Our goal is to have every guest enjoy the best time during their stay - what makes us achieve this goal is guests like you. Cape Pines is adored by kind, caring, loving, and loyal guests. You arrived as a guest and departed as a lifelong friend. Having Peluche and Soleil, guests with paws, was an added bonus. We will cherish memories for lifetime, especially Rummykub and star gazing. "making guests happy, makes us happy." Unknown.
