Our room was very clean as was the rest of the property. Property is two story but has no elevator. The front desk clerk was very kind and helpful with suggesting places to eat and we were not disappointed. Ice machine was working and although we only stayed one night there was no 8AM knock on door from housekeeping. King bed was comfortable for me, plenty of hot water with good pressure in the oval shaped shower that I have found in most all Sleep Inns. Property is at edge of town with Arby's, McDonalds, Bojangles and Subway within walking distance. Just a little further and you will be in the down town area with shops and more food.
Still a great option while visiting Bryson City but sadly they're "cheaping out" (like many other hotels). Our last visit they had yogurt, cold boiled eggs, not now. Even more choices pre-Covid. Now, it's cold cereal, a bread or two and a pancake maker.
Super clean rooms! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They even recognized my husband and I on a return visit. The hotel had very thing we needed…microwave, refrigerator and a small coffee maker. This will be our hotel when in Bryson City.
Originally rented a room at Microtel which was boarded up upon our arrival...so this was our only option at 11:00pm. The charged up $100 more than the standard room rate for a 2 queen room! Knowing we had no other choice due to the other hotel closure. I did complain and was told "well we charge according to what the market will bear" which means try and rob people with no other options! I was not the only one they did this too as several others were there for the same reason. Morning breakfast was a joke coffee machine broke, juice machine broken, not a hot complimentary breakfast as advertised or paid for cold stale pastries.
Melody, the person who checked us in, was so very nice AND helpful starting the stay perfectly which continued from there. Our room was very clean and comfortable although a little small. The woman in the breakfast area was also very nice and if you weren’t smiling when you got there you were by the end of your breakfast. So refreshing to have friendly helpful people. Location is perfect if exploring Bryson City or taking the train ride.
Very clean, neat and adequately equipped. neat. East access to US 74 and a short distance to downtown Bryson City. Several convenient restaurants in Bryson City. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again
Kae (front desk) and Linda (breakfast) made the stay superior. They were so kind, helpful, friendly. They go above beyond to make guests feel welcome. The room also was great. Love the big shower. We didn’t want our room cleaned. We just wanted 3 fresh towels and 2 fresh wash cloths a day which they did. I just can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay and will be back again!
comfy bed, king bed. extremely small room. great shower and hot water, great TV and lots of channels on direct TV. picked because "no pets allowed", we don't do pets. Motel was not full, however, online it shows only a few rooms left, "so get yours now". we still enjoyed ourselves, wifi really good. Melody nice on entry to motel. Motel sits on top of a hill, you will miss it if not for GPS/google maps. No sign at bottom of hill to indicate the location. easy access to interstate.
Hotel was fine. Clean and simple. Location was good. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were a bit small but we it was about what we expected. Service was good. Just a bit priecy for what it is ultimately is. Nevertheless, it did the job.
While the rooms have limited square footage, they include adequate space for hanging clothing and storing items in drawers. There is a refrigerator and microwave so we had everything we needed. As often happens in hotel rooms, my husband and I both had allergic reactions. However, we were able to open a window which let us bring in fresh air. The front desk boy had on a nice Carhart ball cap turned backwards. Not exactly a professional look. This location must get some bad customers. Never before have I been told at check out to not be surprised by a credit card bill for incidentals that may be removed later , nor had a placard on the desk detailing the replacement cost to be charged for every item found in the room, from towels to bedspread to blanket to hairdryer to microwave to coffee maker. . . I found this off-putting and insulting.…
