While the rooms have limited square footage, they include adequate space for hanging clothing and storing items in drawers. There is a refrigerator and microwave so we had everything we needed. As often happens in hotel rooms, my husband and I both had allergic reactions. However, we were able to open a window which let us bring in fresh air. The front desk boy had on a nice Carhart ball cap turned backwards. Not exactly a professional look. This location must get some bad customers. Never before have I been told at check out to not be surprised by a credit card bill for incidentals that may be removed later , nor had a placard on the desk detailing the replacement cost to be charged for every item found in the room, from towels to bedspread to blanket to hairdryer to microwave to coffee maker. . . I found this off-putting and insulting.

Needed a budget motel as close as possible to the Nantahala Outdoor Center, which is 12 miles down the road from here, and this place was more than adequate. It's a chain motel, and thus you get (1) good value and (2) not a lot of warmth or charm. My room had a shower (almost claustrophobic small), AC, phone, radio-alarm, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron & board, and TV with over 100 channels. It was clean and well-maintained. Staff was professional and friendly. Free amenities include parking, wifi, outdoor pool, and PC & printer in the lobby. A hot continental breakfast was included. As is becoming more common, smoking is prohibited in all areas. No pets are permitted. There is no elevator to the second floor, despite their claim, "Hotel accessible to individuals with disabilities." There are several fast food restaurants, just a short drive away. Word to the wise: if you are driving into Bryson City from U.S. Highway 74, be aware that the road into town is a bit steep & winding, and this hotel will appear suddenly on your left. Do not speed as you are coming down this road! This area has innumerable delights for those who enjoy outdoor recreation, and this motel is a good value for those who want to experience these.

We made reservations in March to stay here in June. After a long 12-hour motorcycle ride, we arrived and were told they did not have a room for us. I showed the front desk lady (Melody) my itinerary and confirmation number on my phone. She was rude and unapologetic. There was no attempt made to make things right. In fact, she acted as if it was our fault. If I could give less than 1 star based solely on customer service, I would. To top it all off, the hotel charged my card for a no show!! When I called the manager about the charge, he was just as rude as Melody at the front desk! Acted as if the whole thing was my fault, but he wouldn't even look at the confirmation and itinerary in my email. Fortunately, we got a room at another location and were able to stay there all week.

My Wife and came to Bryson City to celebrate a delayed 48th wedding anniversary. To our surprise the Sleep Inn was very clean . Front desk were very friendly and helpful by giving us some ideas of things to do and places to eat. The hotel had a clean smell through out. The room was clean and had a clean smell to it. Even short handed the employees seem to take pride in their work and it showed. I told the desk clerk when I checked out how impressed I was with the Sleep Inn. I travel a lot and I told her it was the cleanest I had been in for a while. She was bursting with pride and it showed. GREAT JOB

The lady - Kathy I think - older blond - was extremely nice up on registration. Our room was #103 - a handicapped room. Parking for handicapped is either up hill or down hill and at the front entrance, there is no ramp but a curb. The room was ok. The shower was a no step in. Water was fine, hot and good force. The fridge has no freezer so no freezing cold pack. The a.c. either froze us out or was warm and humid. At night we kept having to get up and turn it down as it is apparently on some sort of night timer that ;shuts the a.c. off but the fan blows. The Towels are really nice - better than at the Main Stay we stayed at last weekend. There was a corner strip falling off which could not be missed by housekeeping as well as the large base crack of the shower where it meets the floor as well as the shower hose leaking like a sieve. Breakfast was not much. Kathy was exuberant about the breakfast burritos, the bacon and the waffles. Well one out of 3 is not bad.. the waffles were good but on Thurs a.m. only one maker was working and a lot of people in line. Friday had 2 working. The burritos were packaged and in a cooler to heat up in microwave and no bacon. The lady who attends the breakfast area, kept it well supplied and cleaned tables as soon as someone left! She did a great job and is to be commended. Bed was ok as were the covers. The chair however when you went to get up, the arms went down significantly and had no stability. Our cards got shut off on Thurs and Kathy gave me the song and dance routine about phones, etc. One maybe both NO. What she should have said is I am sorry, here let me get you new cards rather than keeping on about how it was our fault and kept up her blame the customer routine. I had to walk from the back first floor door to the front desk and then back with out her saying so much as an I'm sorry. Yes, I do not think highly of her. And this is not my first hotel stay. Rooms facing the street will have a noise. Over all, it was fine for the 2 days we were there and did what was needed, provided us a place to sleep -
