The perfect location on the river for tubing! Tube rentals, snack shack, and general store are right out front. The lodge only has about 5 rooms and is under new ownership. The place has gotten a facelift outside but still a bit dated on the inside. Just minutes from Main Street of Bryson City! Would recommend!

Located right at the entrance to the Park. Go for a short hike and see 3 waterfalls. Rent a tube from the store downstairs and tube down the creek (best to tube after it has rained recently). The store also sells ice cream and basic supplies. The lodging owner and the store staff were very friendly.

Stayed in the 2BR unit on second floor of lodge. Very clean and spacious accommodation and a great value for the money. Naomi was very gracious and helpful with recommendations for local attractions as well as restaurants. Tubing down the creek was a lot of fun and with the lodge being literally right out the entrance to the park, very convenient.

We have been renting tubes from Deep Creek Lodge for 25 years. We knew it was for sale but were unaware that new owners had taken over until we went to pay for our tubes. They have the same set up, they are renting the same kind of tubes, and everywhere within a mile charges about the same - Approximately $4 per day. We loaded up the tubes and my husband went to pay. (I didn't realize until we went back that they had removed the sign stating the cost.) What should have been about $16, turned into $32!!! They doubled their prices. He got reasons like "we're the closest to the park" and "we have a golf cart if you want a ride back into the park." All the places are close to the park! And no way is it worth double for their tubes. They lost a customer and I wanted to make sure anyone else returning knows what they have done. New owners - you got us once - one and done!

We actually stayed there in 2010, just saw it on here and realized I hadn't wrote a review!! But anyway,,, we stayed there in the off season so tubing was over with already but we had a great time. Loved the mountains. Rooms were nice, clean. We rented a bigger room with a kitchen and a regular room and both were nice. Would definitely go back!!!

Our family has been going to Deep Creek Lodge for over 10 years - - every summer. It is the best place for family vacation time. It is so convenient to everything we need yet gives us that "in the mountains" feel. The Cabin & Lodge are GREAT. The owners are wonderful people. Rustic in appearance but very comfortable and works so well with our growing family. The rooms with full kitchens are awesome. There were 10 of us in 2015 (3 family units) but there will be 13 of us in 2016 (4 family units).

We tube, hike, picnic, shop (downtown Bryson City is great fun for shopping), eat (lots of eating), relax and just enjoy our time.

I can't think of a better place to visit or stay. It is perfect for our large family and will be for decades to come!!

WE LOVE DEEP CREEK LODGE & BRYSON CITY NC!!!

Rented tubes from here to use on the deep creek. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rentals were cheap and you could spend all day using them. Very fun experience tubing down the river that everyone enjoyed .Would recommend this company to everyone!

We came out on a super cold rainy day and stopped to rent tubes here the guy was very helpful and reassured us in that weather we were safe. We were the only ones on the river for at least an hour so I was a little nervous but so fun eventually others showed up and it was an absolute blast!

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay while we waited for the total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. Of course, all the hotels and cabins were rented by the time I started looking. We found this place online for $50 a night. It was the only room available in the area so we took it and hoped for the best. We knew all of the reviews were great but you never know what you are getting when it is only $50 a night. We were so thankful to have found this lodge. The room was small but comfortable and clean. We didn't need a big room because we were out all day and only needed a good place to rest/sleep. The decorations were so quaint. We loved being at the entrance to the GSM Park. It was refreshing not to be in a big motel/hotel for a change. There was a small refrigerator so we carried yogurt and had our own continental breakfast in our room. Naomi was the perfect hostess. The young people she had working for her were great... polite and well mannered. This is a very family friendly place. One day for lunch we had a BLT and a banana split from the snack bar and it was delicious. I just can't say enough good about the Deep Creek Lodge!!!!

Enjoyed an impromptu day tubing after a loop hike to a couple to beautiful falls. Perfect afternoon! I would recommend the tubes with a back rest on them, They have a snack shack when you exit the river.
